Why did the Oil Flowing from a Bible Stop?

A friend messaged me about an interesting event that was happening in Dalton. It sounded incredible, and because there have been many “fake” miraculous signs, such as the statues that reportedly leaked blood from the eyes of Mary, I was hesitant to speak about this until it was verified. The Bible tells us that incidents of this nature should be proven by two or three witnesses. I went with two of the Courts of Heaven Worldwide team members to verify that. As it turns out, what we observed to be happening was actually sent from God and was not a counterfeit manifestation from the enemy.

The Miraculous Claim:

The Miraculous Claim:

The Flowing Oil Ministry in Dalton

Everyone in the Flowing Oil Ministry is quick to tell you that the oil is not the healer, Jesus is. It is not magic oil, but there are many reported miracles associated with using this oil in a prayer of faith for healing. A few documented reports are:
  • Cases of Stage 3 and Stage 5 cancers that were healed
  • An arm broken in two places that mended with no remaining sign of breakage
  • Boils and other skin issues that cleared up
  • A child who was hospitalized with a high fever who was instantly healed

Bob, an older gentleman who was a member of the prayer group, spoke to me about a common thread concerning the healings that he observed. He commented how non-Christians and “baby” Christians are healed most often. Mature Christians who long know the Word of God and have walked with Him more often are not healed.

Bob’s observation is a legitimate one. While these miracles confirm that this is a sign from God, this is not “healing” oil. Signs from God demonstrating His healing grace and mercy should be examined for meaning. When Jesus appeared, people became so focused on the miracles being performed to confirm He is the Son of God, that many missed the fact the miracles were confirming. The same thing happened with the oil. People began to focus on the “miracle oil” and now the miracles have mostly ceased.

The Uncovered Facts:

I spoke to multiple people, not just the man who owns the Bible. The story was the same from each person. There is some information related to this story that isn’t widely spoken of which I will now relate to you:

A small prayer group met in a room in the back of a gift shop for five years: the Biblical meaning of the number five is grace. Oil started appearing on the walls of the prayer room in November of 2016. The group sought the Lord’s wisdom, asking what this oil meant. He told them that He would give them a sign of what was to come after Donald Trump was inaugurated into the office.

In early January of 2017, the group met in the home of one of the members. The Holy Spirit came so heavily upon Bob that he was unable to get off the floor from where he had fallen. It was then that Bob noticed a wet spot in his Bible.

He originally thought the spot was water that was spilled by his grandchild. However, when he tested it on his finger, it was oil. Bob showed it to his friend John, a member of the prayer group who was present. This was the beginning of the sign that God said He would send after Trump took office.

Verifying this Miraculous Sign

It is simple to verify a miraculous sign. The Holy Spirit is our Teacher and our Guide. If you are ever in question about whether heaviness or tingling upon your body, loud weeping, streaming tears, raucous laughter, or any other sign or demonstration is from Him, just ask. He won’t be offended. You may say something like, “Holy Spirit, if this in’t from you, please remove it!”

Each member of our party sought the Holy Spirit without consulting the others. We asked in our own way if this was of God. Both of the other women felt a strong confirmation with peace or an internal move of our Teacher to confirm that He was behind this miracle.

Outside the prayer room I dipped my fingers in the oil and asked, “Holy Spirit, let this oil be gone if it is counterfeit and not from You, and let it be multiplied if it is from You.” It dripped from my hands and nothing seemed “miraculous” about it, but it didn’t really dissipate either. I needed my hands for other things, so I wiped them clean, unsatisfied with the answer.

When we walked toward the back of the shop where the Bible lay in the tub of oil next to the prayer room, a heaviness came upon me and my heart began to beat unusually strong in my chest like I had just run a great distance. There was an available spot in the prayer room, so I entered, seeking the truth. “Holy Spirit,” I whispered under my breath, “if this isn’t of you, let it be gone in Jesus’ name.”

My thoughts turned to God as I focused on Him, “Lord, reveal to me, is this of You?” Immediately, the power of the Holy Spirit gushed over me from my head, cascading to my toes. I have often felt a minor flow when I am in the right place God has intended for me at that moment, but this was a massive torrential downpour compared to the light spring rain I usually feel. Within a few minutes, my thighs were wobbly, as I stumbled from the prayer room, I was weaving like a drunk… Yes, I was drunk in the Spirit!

What about the oil? Why didn’t it multiply? It seemed not at all supernatural. As we left the shop, I had an oily feeling in my mouth and throat. Have you ever taken fish oil pills and burped, tasting oil? It was kind of like that, but tasteless and more oily. My eyes also felt as if they had an oily film over them. Only God could multiply the oil inside my body! Perhaps this has something to do with my calling and my words being anointed by God.

This phenomena continues to this day. I have noticed that the oily feeling lessens at times and becomes stronger at other times. After observing this for several weeks, it became clear that the oil always increases when I focus on God and lessens if I am distracted by what is around me.
God also sent a confirmation using the flight home and a prayer by Bob, a member of our prayer team. That story can be found here: Identifying Numbers as a sign from God.

What is God Saying?

Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time? (Luke 12:56)

The oil flowing from a Bible has great significance about God’s timetable. There are three things to learn from this miracle:

1. God expects more of mature Christians.

When Jesus instructed his disciples to go and heal the sick and cast out demons with His “Great Commission” message, He was sending them out to spread the word about Him to non-Christians who did not yet know of His teachings. This likely explains why new Christians and non-Christians receive healing more often. As the uninitiated, they need real evidence that God loves them so they can begin searching for Him, learn His ways, and strengthen their beliefs.
God may want Christians who have known about the Lord for a long time to grow up and begin walking in His ways and receive their healing through other means discussed in earlier chapters.

2. Things anointed by God should be free.

If it comes from God for His people or if you expect His anointing to be at a meeting, there should be no charge attached. This is the message God sent to me in 2016 when He downloaded the first in a series of books directly into my mind in a late-night prayer session from 11 PM to  4 AM. Because all the information had already been given to me, it took only two weeks to write “Why Doesn’t God Speak to Me?” After the book had been written, God said:
  • Give it away for free.
  • Do not market or advertise it.

This was a challenge to hear. I am a bestselling Kindle author and an owner of a publishing company. I know how to market things successfully online. It was not a message I expected. But I digress… that story is told in the free book mentioned above.

There are consequences for those who charge for things of God: the information given with this miracle is confirmation. The anointing will not keep flowing for those who abuse it by charging for gifts they have freely received.

3. A “sign of what was coming.”

In the Bible, when God speaks, He always sends signs and miracles to confirm that what is happening is from Him. When the Lord came and walked among us, many people got so caught up in the fact that everyone was getting healed that they failed to realize what God was doing: He was establishing His Kingdom on Earth.

We are in danger of making the same mistake right now with the miraculous sign. I am ashamed to say it, but I was so caught up in the fact that people were being healed in connection with this miraculous sign that I almost missed the point of what was happening. I completely forgot that God had told the small prayer group in Dalton that after President Trump was in office, “He would send a sign to show what was to come.” The sign isn’t the important thing: it is what it all means that is VITAL!

Like the first disciples of Jesus, who recognized that He was God’s Son, but failed to see His purpose, at first I only recognized the surface meaning of the Bible flowing with oil. As time when on, the few things that bothered me kept coming to mind:
  • The oil no longer had gold flecks in it as it was reported to have when the miracle first appeared.
  • There was no smell associated with the oil any longer.
  • The Lord confirmed the miracle in the prayer room, not when the oil was on my hands.
  • Since the prayer group began focusing on the miracles associated with the oil, it no longer flowed to meet the online requests. They can only distribute it when they travel.

These were things that nagged at me. I knew there was something I was missing. I consulted with my friend Lydia about it. With remarkably keen discernment, she can usually tell when objects are anointed for good or evil.

Lydia said, “I haven’t been able to sense anything on the oil. It hasn’t multiplied or doesn’t hold an anointing that I can discern. When I held it, I sensed it was lamp oil.”

When she and I get together and talk, the Holy Spirit typically begins to move, our conversations often take on a life of their own. The Parable of the Ten Virgins was quickly the focus of our discussion. That night, the Holy Spirit wouldn’t allow me to sleep, He kept revealing layers and connections concerning this parable and the miracle of the Bible flowing with oil.

This only underscores why we should never forsake the fellowship: we need each other! Lydia provided the spark that lit the fire of the Holy Spirit. Each piece of this parable applies to this miracle so let me take you through it step by step:

Matthew 25:1-12

Verse 1-3:
Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
The Greek word, mōros translated “foolish,” means without learning or enlightenment and not showing care for the consequences.
  • These are members of the Bride who are not learning God’s ways or thinking about the consequences of their actions.

Verse 4:
Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
The word used for “oil” is the same word used for the oil to anoint and the oil used to heal the sick. This is what God is saying:
  • The time is coming when He will pour out His glory (anointing) through Jesus (Jesus is the Word - the Bible)!

Verse 5:
But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
Notice that all the brides have the oil, which is the anointing of God, and they all got sleepy.
  •  The Body of Christ, which is the bride of Christ, has long been asleep.

Verse 6:
And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’
This sign is the “cry” or the shout to awaken us. The oil began flowing in 2017 and in God’s goodness He pointed this out in the Heavens as well. Here was the connecting sign missed by many:
In 2017, there was what many called an “American Solar Eclipse.” It is a solar eclipse that stretches from one side of the country to the other and touches no other country. This is significant because America has long been the country that sends out more missionaries for the Lord than any other country. It is His land like Israel is God’s land of His People. Many of the revelations about God originated in the U.S. This eclipse was a sign of a revelation from America connected to the Awakening. I wrote an article about this eclipse and the meaning last year.
  • The eclipse took place on the final day of the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah). I didn’t realize it until I began writing this post, but thanks to flight delays, I arrived in Dalton on the first day of this feast, and God revealed the meaning of the oil when I delivered His messages on the last day of this feast.

Verse 7:
Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.

All the Body of Christ will know that the time is at hand. They will begin preparing for His return. Before the oil was placed in the lamps, they had to prepare the vessel. We see this elsewhere in scripture. God wants us to prepare a place for Him:
Let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. (Exodus 25:8)
This is what the Awakening is about: being prepared for the oil.
  •  The Courts of Heaven is an important part of that preparation.

Verse 8 & 9:
And the foolish said to the wise, “Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.” But the wise answered, saying, “No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.”
When the shout comes, the Bride needs to be getting ready for the return of Jesus. We need to examine what we know about God. In His mercy, He gave that prayer group a hint of where we missed it: We are not to charge for teachings anything we expect to be anointed by Him.

There is an exchange happening. Up until this point, all had oil. But now, only the wise would have oil, those who will learn and be corrected by Him. A well-known prophet, who appeared on a TV show about supernatural miracles from God and confirmed this. He said that the Fathers of our faith, the huge ministries will be removed and may well retire or move on to Heaven while new prophets appear. He also said that if these older, established ministers would take correction from these new ones they could be spared.
  • The group was told that the anointing would stop flowing if they charged for the things of God. According to the principles of Matthew 10, all that God gives should be given freely and without cost.

Verse 10, 11 & 12:
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, “Lord, Lord, open the door to us!” But he answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.”
If those who are charging for the things of God don’t mend their ways, the anointing will stop flowing and they will miss the Lord when He returns.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out demons? and in your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:22)
“You that work iniquity” is a phrase that commonly meant, “You who are unschooled in the Torah (first five books of the Bible).”
  • This means that if we are unlearned in the ways of God, we are in danger of being cast out of the presence of the Lord.

Verse 13
Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
Here Jesus is saying that all of this is about His second coming. His audience at the time had no knowledge of the “catching away,” which some Christians call the rapture. That was revealed by Paul in the first letter he wrote to the Thessalonians where he mentioned it in every chapter. This audience only knew that He would come to rule and reign forever. This is the event that we do not know neither the day nor the hour.
This means that the coming Outpouring will not stop until the Lord returns for His bride! Many have said that this is the “final” massive Outpouring. The sign of the Bible flowing with oil confirms this and so much more!

The Oil Has Changed

Jewish rabbis know that the miraculous appearance of gold is a sign which heralds the coming of Jesus. The presence of God often comes with a fragrance. The oil flowing from the Bible no longer has these two components.

Why has the oil changed? Because God’s people were missing the point of the sign! People began making an idol out of the oil, seeking it to be healed instead of seeking God. True to His word, the oil has continued to flow, but the power connected to it has eased. Reports of new miracles associated with are now few and far between.

The Oil Stopped

We sent this article to those distributing the oil, warning that they were making an idol out of the oil instead of focusing on what God was saying in this "sign." Leaders of the Flowing Oil ministry say the miracle stopped on January 10, 2020. The stopped shipping oil on February 4, 2020.

It seems that Lydia's discernment was not only helpful in determining what the sign was about, but prophetic as well: they used lamp oil when God's anointing stopped flowing! Throughout the centuries, we have seen this happen time and time again.
  • God anointing shows up with miraculous sings and wonders
  • Man takes this revelation into his own hands
  • God anointing and power stop flowing as well as the miracles associated with it
Unfortunately, all too often, man then decides to "help" God along.
  • Services used to have a fog of God's glory for children to play in, when it stopped, they brought in fog machines.
  • When gold dust stopped falling, some churches put out material through the air vents.
  • When healing miracles ceased, actors were brought into tent meetings.
This sign began in 2017 at the beginning of the Awakening. God was preparing His people to receive and operate in His glory. Now, in 2020 it is the Outpouring. Those who have not accepted God's correction and are not operating in His ways will reap the consequences. Anointing will dry up just as this oil did!

We must be cautious. Just because someone was anointed last year doesn't mean that they still are. Ministries where God's power flowed may see that valve suddenly shut off. It is time to practice discernment. Don't fall for a fake anointing!

What Should We Do?

Perhaps a better question is what should we NOT do. This is not a time to panic and run around saying: THE END IS COMING! JESUS IS COMING BACK! When has that ever worked? All it does is make us look like crazy fools.

This is not about others, it is our U.S., our relationship with God. We must awake and prepare. God is seen through us, through our actions and our lives, not by words. As you get yourself ready for what is coming, others will notice and be drawn to you because of the change in YOU. There is nothing more enticing than someone who is walking in LOVE and KINDNESS, PEACE, and PATIENCE. As you grow deeper in the things of God, the things of the enemy are removed. This will impact those around you!

If those who are charging for the things of God don’t straighten up and get ready now, the anointing will stop flowing and they will miss the Lord when He returns. (CLICK HERE to read about Satan's Plans for God's Generals) Jesus spoke about this at other times:
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out demons? and in your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.
“You that work iniquity” is a phrase that commonly meant, “You who are unschooled in the Torah (first 5 books of the Bible).” So if we are unlearned in the ways of God, we are in danger of being cast out of the presence of the Lord. More is written about that in the free book on Amazon: “Destroying Curses in the Courts of Heaven.
“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming."
Jesus is saying that all of this is about His second coming. His audience at the time had no knowledge of the “catching away:” That was revealed by Paul in the first letter he wrote to the Thessalonians where he mentioned it in every chapter. This audience only knew that He would come to rule and reign forever. This is the event that we do not know the day or the hour of.

This means that the coming Outpouring will not stop until the Lord returns for His bride! Many have said that this is the “final” massive Outpouring. The sign of the Bible flowing with oil confirms this and so much more!

There is so much more than just the Outpouring of God's glory that it takes an entire post (or video) to discuss it!

The Deceptiveness of “Freely Give”

Taking a scripture out of context is dangerous. You need to see what it is referring to in order to fully understand what is being said. “Freely Give” is very deceptive if that is all you hear… I discussed that in last next week’s post so that you know what could go terribly wrong if “freely give” is all you hear. At the bottom of this page you will find some free books that will help you along the way.

What does the Feast of Trumpets have to do with all this? The answer may surprise you. CLICK HERE to read that post, or watch the video below:

Roadmap to Heaven
Destroying Curses
in the Courts of Heaven

Many people think of boot camp as a place you train for combat. Any veteran will tell you that basic training is about three things:
  • Knowing what weapons are available
  • Learning how to use those weapons
  • Receiving orders and following them
Believer’s Boot Camp series is a collection of books which teach us how to hear more clearly from God with the goal to ready ourselves for a face-to-face meeting with our Lord, Jesus. The series reveals the “weapons and tools” God has given us and how to use them, so we can bring God’s kingdom to Earth. Each book in the series focuses on a single topic to clearly define one tool or weapon from our Heavenly Father.

The series uses the Word of God to reveal all that He has given us through Jesus. The Bible is our instruction manual and the Holy Spirit is our guide to understanding it.

Volume 1: Why Doesn't God Speak to Me?

Eager hearts cry out, hoping for a single word to confirm that He hears us. Yet, many times the only sound is silence. Over the years I have heard several reasons why God speaks to some and not to others. One night, as I tossed and turned, I brought each of these reasons before the Lord, stating why each of them did not line up with who I thought He was.

Words rose from my soul, pleading for Him to reveal why He has remained silent when a single word from Him would mean so much to so many. For the next few hours, God used things I learned about years ago and things I had just discovered to show why He talks to some and why He doesn’t, and in demonstrative ways.

In His grace, He also showed me how people could hear more from Him. Basic instructions on how to hear more from God and how to be led by Him are included in this book. Thank you for taking time to consider the answers I received and share with you now.

Keys to Authority for Every Believer

There is untapped power that is easy for every Christian to access in the form of authority. The keys to this authority will unlock weapons we can use to free ourselves from the attacks of the enemy. We must be intimately aware of the bounds and limitations of our weapon if they are to be used effectively.

Find out about your authority:
  • Why you need it.
  • Where it comes from.
  • What you can do with it.
  • How to get more.

  1. Hi Lynne. I have been reading about this oil miracle since yesterday and really enjoyed reading this. One thing I noticed though is that you said the oil started flowing from Psalm 27, but everywhere else I read about it said Psalm 39. Just something I thought I'd point out. God bless you.
