The Beast and the AntiChrist

VIDEO: The Beast and the AntiChrist

One of the blessings of Revelation is that through studying it we can identify some of the plans of the enemy. On the surface, it often seems cryptic and impossible to understand. If we let the Bible, and especially the Book of Revelation, interpret itself, we can get a glimpse into the playbook of Satan’s army.

And I stood on the sand of the sea, and saw a Beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads the name of blasphemy. (Revelation 13:1 AKJV)

Just as chapter 12 in the Book of Revelation briefly recounted Israel’s history, now a recap of Satan’s activity is given. Most of the imagery in Revelation is metaphorical. Let’s examine other scriptures to see how to interpret them.

And the Beast which I saw was like to a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. (Revelation 13:2 AKJV)

The following traits refer to the Beast or army of Satan:

  • Leopard - is cunning and lies in wait to attack
  • Bear - symbol of power upon the feet so it walks with strength
  • Lion - a ruler; because it is a mouth, it speaks through a ruler

The Beast is acting with the seat or position and power of the dragon (Satan). The Beast is fully revealed in a later verse, so let us go to the beginning of that chapter.

And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying to me, Come here; I will show to you the judgment of the great whore that sits on many waters: With whom the kings of the Earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the Earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit on a scarlet colored Beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.  (Revelation 17:1-3 AKJV)

Here is the same Beast that has seven heads and ten horns. We also see that there is a woman who is being carried by her. Before we look into the Beast, let’s see who the woman is, to help us determine what the rest may mean.

The Greek word porneuĊ (par’- run-yoo’-o), translated “whore,” in the most literal sense means unlawful sexual intercourse. However, since there is not a literal woman, the meaning will be the metaphorical meaning: to be given to idolatry, to worship idols. This will have something to do with the woman’s identity. What we do know is that she’s causing the kings of the Earth to commit sin.

The color of the Beast is scarlet, representing wisdom. The Beast grants power through wisdom.

And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: (Revelation 17:4 AKJV)

Purple is the color of royalty and priesthood, and scarlet is wisdom. Gold, precious stones and pearls, represent wealth. We can make an idol out of almost anything; it is something we place above God. The rider of the Beast is placing all the following above God:

  • Wisdom
  • Religion – man’s religious traditions that are supported by scripture
  • Wealth

This description is reminiscent of Jezebel, the queen who manipulated King Ahab to do her evil bidding. This royal pair instituted the worship of gods, Baal and Asherah, on a national scale (1 Kings 16). Demons of the Jezebel class could be associated with this “woman.”

And on her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. (Revelation 17:5-6 AKJV)

Jezebel slaughtered God’s prophets and was referred to as the daughter of Babylon. Her name is synonymous with those who lead mankind astray and into sinful ways. This “woman” may be connected to the principality known as Jezebel, who is referred to as the “queen of Heaven” and Satan’s bride. From the name, we see that her influence comes from revealing mysteries and giving riches and power.

And the angel said to me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the Beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and ten horns.” (Revelation 17:7 AKJV)

This gives us good news because an angel will now give additional information about the Beast from Revelation 13! Although, we saw the Beast rising out of the ocean in Chapter 13 and it will rise to power at the beginning of the Tribulation.

The Beast that you saw was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the Earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the Beast that was, and is not, and yet is. (Revelation 17:8 AKJV)

The verse reveals three aspects applied to this Beast:

  • was - past tense verb indicating it existed before man
  • is not - it isn’t a physical being
  • yet is - but it still exists

This puts this Beast firmly into the category of something which exists in the spiritual realm and of the hosts of Heaven which existed before mankind. We must apply the description of this Beast to this parameter.

The bottomless pit holds the angels who rebelled against God after Adam and Eve fell: They were chained there. (2 Peter 2:4) One of the trumpets releases these demons upon the Earth.

The Book of Life is where names are written when we become Christians. Those who are not Christians will be drawn in by these demons. Perdition is destruction; this will happen to the Beast in the end when Jesus returns. From these descriptions, it is clear that we are discussing spiritual beings who will be released upon the Earth for a season.

And here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sits. (Revelation 17:9 AKJV)

Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, said the LORD...(Jeremiah 51:25 AMPC)

The prophet Jeremiah was referring to Babylon as a mountain, so here, seven mountains are most likely seven kingdoms and not literal mountains because everything else in this description is metaphorical, not literal. The seven mountains are all riding upon a “beast” which is an army of spiritual beings. This means they may be seven earthly kingdoms rising to power by the kingdom of darkness.

And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he comes, he must continue a short space. (Revelation 17:10 AKJV)

Upon editing this article to add it as a chapter for the book, the Lord told me that I presumed something in this chapter that was not right, it was what I had been taught, and it was not the truth. Kings are earthly rulers of kingdoms, or countries doing Satan’s bidding. Most assume, as I did, that the sixth head was the AntiChrist. However, this was spoken to the Apostle John, so we have to see it from that perspective. There have been five great movements of Satan’s kingdom, and all have completely failed. When John was alive, the Roman king was the sixth head. “The other who has not yet come…” is the AntiChrist. The ruler to come is connected to the phrase “he must continue for a short space.” This is nearly identical to what is mentioned in a previous chapter:

...Woe to the inhabitants of the Earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time. (Revelation 12:12 AKJV)

This connects these two: Satan and the seventh head. If we look to the next verse about the Beast, it may help connect these two even more:

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the Beast. (Revelation 13:3 AKJV)

One of the heads or rulers will be mortally wounded, then healed. If the AntiChrist is in a near-death state, it may make it quite easy for Satan to strike a bargain with him: an extended life in exchange for fealty to the Devil.

And the Beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes into perdition. (Revelation 17:11 AKJV)

Since the eighth is part of all seven rulers, this means it is the entire kingdom of darkness. The Beast will rule as part of the seventh ruler. Going back to the chapter where the Beast is first introduced, this is supported by Revelation 13:2 because the Beast is acting with the seat or position, and power of the dragon (Satan). Satan will inhabit the AntiChrist and give all his power to him around the middle of Daniel’s Week. We will need to watch for the one who becomes wounded in the head and is healed.

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power to the Beast: and they worshipped the Beast, saying, Who is like to the Beast? Who is able to make war with him? (Revelation 13:4 AKJV)

How many people are looking for irrefutable proof of a miracle? When the AntiChrist lays dying from a mortal wound, the whole world will see him healed. This will cause them to worship Satan. When will this happen? We need to look at two scriptures to get the full picture:

And the Beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months. (Revelation 13:5 ESV)

We see 42 months mentioned in the construction of the temple:

But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given to the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. (Revelation 11:2)

When we see the same measurement used, it means those items are linked together. The wounding of one of the “heads of the Beast” who is the AntiChrist, must happen at the beginning of Tribulation. It will be a turning point for the person who creates the seven-year agreement. At this point, he only speaks “haughty and blasphemous words.” The AntiChrist is not yet attacking God directly. This lasts for 42 months.

We should look for the AntiChrist to be receive a mortal wound in the head as Daniel’s Week begins. This means:

  • It cannot be Obama because of the scar on his head.
    • it has to be a new wound.
  • It must be the person who comes into power through a peace treaty created for seven years. This could be Trump if he takes a position there, but I doubt it.
    • he has professed Jesus as Lord

Most likely it will be a new player who is working in the background. We really have no way of being 100% sure until he enters into the covenant with Israel, but we will discuss this in greater detail in the next Revelation Workbook.

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and them that dwell in Heaven. (Revelation 13:5-6 AKJV)

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease… (Daniel 9:27 AKJV)

Daniel’s Week begins with sacrifices and offerings being performed. If the AntiChrist is worshiping God, then he will not be attacking God, Heaven, and all those in Heaven.  This can only happen after the middle of Daniel’s Week once sacrifices and offerings cease. Since Satan is cast out of Heaven around the middle of Daniel’s Week, it is a good bet that he inhabits the AntiChrist, whom Satan has been backing with the power of his kingdom.

And it was given to him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell on the Earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:7-8 AKJV)

Two events are listed that we must not lump together:

  • Make war with Christians and overcome them
  • Power over all kindreds, tongues, and nations

These events will begin after the middle of Daniel’s Week. It isn’t until after Satan is kicked out of Heaven that he pursues Israel, then Christians when the Jews escape. The AntiChrist will be given power and begin persecuting Christians who will not worship him as god, or the Beast.

Before we leave, there will be a Great Tribulation for God’s people. There is a coming time when those who call themselves “Christians” will be divided. Some will fall away and side with the world and come into agreement with the AntiChrist. We will find out who they are when we discuss the churches of Revelation. For now, we find an apt description in Daniel:

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, (Daniel 9:27 AKJV)

And armed forces of his shall appear [in the holy land] and they shall pollute the sanctuary, the [spiritual] stronghold, and shall take away the continual [daily burnt offering]; and they shall set up [in the sanctuary] the abomination that astonishes and makes desolate [probably an altar to a pagan god]. (Daniel 11:31 AMPC)

Both prophecies of Daniel deal with the sacrifices being taken away, which link them together. Daniel 11 provides additional information about what happens. An “abomination” will be set up.

And such as violate the covenant he shall pervert and seduce with flatteries, but the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits [for God]. (Daniel 11:32 AMPC)

Anyone who is not holding tight to God’s ways may be corrupted and deceived. Those who do know God will be seen as mighty!

And they who are wise and understanding among the people shall instruct many and make them understand, though some [of them and their followers] shall fall by the sword and flame, by captivity and plunder, for many days. (Daniel 11:33 AMPC)

After the midpoint in the Tribulation, it will be much harder for those who are helping others understand God's ways and what is happening. Satan’s power is amplified during the last three-and-a-half years. In the first half of Daniel’s Week, there is still some semblance of the peace treaty. After that, all pretense is gone.

And the king shall do according to his will; he shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every god and shall speak astonishing things against the God of gods and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished, for that which is determined [by God] shall be done. (Daniel 11:36 AMPC)

The AntiChrist has been declared king. Since he is acting in the temple, it may be king of Israel. He places himself above all, even God, who will allow this for a time. “Till the indignation be accomplished,” refers to God’s fury building with the actions of the AntiChrist, until His wrath is poured out. Let’s continue looking at the Beast from the bottomless pit for more clues. We will need to go back to Revelation to see how this is accomplished:

And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the Beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength to the Beast. (Revelation 17:12-13 AKJV)

Ten horns are ten members of mankind who will unite with one mind under the Beast (army of Satan). It doesn’t say that these ten horns are on a head, only on the Beast. Two Greek words are used and we should look for meanings connected to kingship or ruling:

  • Power: exousia (ex-oo-see’-ah) - the power of rule or government (the power of him whose will and commands must be submitted to by others and obeyed)
  • Strength: dynamis (doo’-nam-is) – authority - either as delegated power, or as unrestrained, arbitrary power

They aren’t actual kings, but are given authority to rule by the Beast, which is Satan’s army. There may be ten “heads” of an organization acting with the authority of a king. The “rulers” are completely submitted to the AntiChrist, acting as “one mind.” The heads of the Beasts are kings. The AntiChrist will eventually declare himself God and a king.

There is a “Global Financial Reset” or “Great Reset” that is putting countries under one set of rules in exchange for having certain power over a country such as erasing past debts. The World Economic Forum (WEF) projection says that private property, and even consumer goods, would no longer be private property by 2030.

President Biden appointed John F. Kerry as our nation’s first Special Presidential Envoy for Climate. At the 2021 WEF meeting, Kerry firmly declared that the Biden administration will support the Great Reset and that the Great Reset “will happen with greater speed and with greater intensity than a lot of people might imagine,” according to MSN news.

This or something like it may very well be the rulership that the AntiChrist puts into place or may simply be part of the final plan. How should we respond to these threatening situations?

If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leads into captivity shall go into captivity: he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. (Revelation 13:9-10 AKJV)

We do not need to attack others or revolt and riot against our nation because of what is happening. We need to have patience, knowing that this is God’s will, and Jesus is returning soon.

Jesus’ Point of View

The Lord told us to look at the Tribulation from His perspective. In the Book of Matthew, He spoke about the prophecy of Daniel. Let’s continue looking at what that prophet said:

Now when they fall, they shall receive a little help. Many shall join themselves to them with flatteries and hypocrisies. And some of those who are wise, prudent, and understanding shall be weakened and fall, [thus, then, the insincere among the people will lose courage and become deserters. It will be a test] to refine, to purify, and to make those among [God’s people] white, even to the time of the end, because it is yet for the time [God] appointed. (Daniel 11:34-35 AMPC)

The Lord sent me a dream about this verse. Here is what He said:

  • My Bride will need to mend her dress, to hold the line and pass the test.
  • Some wise, discerning, prudent too, may fall by the wayside instead of holding to what’s true.
  • Not all will be ready to let go, grasping the new and letting go of the old.
  • Danger is coming upon the sheep, to rob, steal, and cause some to sleep.

Many have flocked to pastors, prophets, teachers, and apostles who are not teaching the truth of God’s ways. Some are teaching “flatteries and hypocrisies;” only proclaiming our place as the Bride of Christ and declaring the war is won, though in reality it has truly only begun. When those leaders fall, even some who are wise and prudent, will fall with them. This will be part of the “great falling away” that must happen before Jesus returns, which we will discuss later.

We must stand in faith with patience, knowing the time is at hand. If we rebel with force more lives will be lost. Instead, we need to focus on teaching others God’s ways so that the Bride is ready for the return of their Lord!

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful. (Revelation 17:14 AKJV)

Satan will eventually battle with Jesus, but we know how that battle will end! We have to be mindful, though before that glorious victory, there is much that will take place with the Beast.

Roadmap to Heaven
Destroying Curses
in the Courts of Heaven

Many people think of boot camp as a place you train for combat. Any veteran will tell you that basic training is about three things:

  • Knowing what weapons are available
  • Learning how to use those weapons
  • Receiving orders and following them
Believer’s Boot Camp series is a collection of books which teach us how to hear more clearly from God with the goal to ready ourselves for a face-to-face meeting with our Lord, Jesus. The series reveals the “weapons and tools” God has given us and how to use them, so we can bring God’s kingdom to Earth. Each book in the series focuses on a single topic to clearly define one tool or weapon from our Heavenly Father.

The series uses the Word of God to reveal all that He has given us through Jesus. The Bible is our instruction manual and the Holy Spirit is our guide to understanding it.

Why Doesn't God Speak to Me?

Believers’ Boot Camp, Volume 1

Eager hearts cry out, hoping for a single word to confirm that He hears us. Yet, many times the only sound is silence. Over the years I have heard several reasons why God speaks to some and not to others. One night, as I tossed and turned, I brought each of these reasons before the Lord, stating why each of them did not line up with who I thought He was.

Words rose from my soul, pleading for Him to reveal why He has remained silent when a single word from Him would mean so much to so many. For the next few hours, God used things I learned about years ago and things I had just discovered to show why He talks to some and why He doesn’t, and in demonstrative ways.

In His grace, He also showed me how people could hear more from Him. Basic instructions on how to hear more from God and how to be led by Him are included in this book. Thank you for taking time to consider the answers I received and share with you now.

Keys to Authority for Every Believer

Believers’ Boot Camp, Volume 2

There is untapped power that is easy for every Christian to access in the form of authority. The keys to this authority will unlock weapons we can use to free ourselves from the attacks of the enemy. We must be intimately aware of the bounds and limitations of our weapon if they are to be used effectively.

Find out about your authority:
  • Why you need it.
  • Where it comes from.
  • What you can do with it.
  • How to get more.

Destroying Curses in the Courts of Heaven

Believers’ Boot Camp, Volume 3

Our rights to appear in the Courts of Heaven have been greatly undervalued. The missing key to our authority is here. Jesus has provided the access and the Bible shows us the court procedures. When we learn to operate in our rightful place as children of the Most High, the enemy will be defeated and we will see the victory we have prayed for.

The death of Jesus freed us from the curse of the law. However, we must declare this freedom just as we must make a declaration for our salvation.

  • Can curses be passed to our children?
  • What are signs of a curse?
  • How do you get rid of one?

Every answer is backed by scripture. Come and find out how easy it is to be free!

Roadmap to Heaven

Believers’ Boot Camp, Volume 4

As I meditated and sought the Lord, a vision overcame me. A “Roadmap to Heaven” was deposited into my soul. We are entering a season of unparalleled access to Heaven. Jesus is calling all who are His to visit with Him in the Secret Place of the Most High.

  • What is the Secret Place?
  • How do we enter?
  • What will we find there?

The Bible holds the answers, the mystery has been revealed. As you use the map given in this book to journey to the Secret Place, discover your destiny and find the gifts the Holy Spirit will bring along the way.
