The world is divided on the topic of modern-day witchcraft and curses. In some countries and cultures, the spirit realm, especially the demonic one, is as real as our physical world. In other countries, it is looked at as little more than superstition. In America, many believe that science disproves and outclasses many of these practices. It is hard to discern or perceive when the enemy is influencing something if you don’t believe it is possible in today’s world.

Did you know that our thoughts travel as neural pulses in our brain at a speed of around 275 mph? No wonder it can be difficult to ‘catch’ what God is saying to us because He speaks to us through our thoughts. Journaling helps us to slow down our thoughts so we can connect with our motor skills and write them down. From this we can learn to slow our thinking down and begin to hear God’s responses to our conversations with Him.

The Book of Acts is a continuation of the Book of Luke. If you read this as one account, it flows like this: Right before He ascended to Heaven before their eyes Jesus breathed on the disciples and said, “receive the Holy Spirit,” and told them to go to Jerusalem and wait for the Holy Spirit to come upon them with power. It was on the day of Pentecost when they were all gathered in a room together that the Holy Spirit came in, literally rattling the windows like a mighty wind. It looked like tongues of fire upon their heads as the Holy Spirit settled on them.

Peter said: “‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, said God, I will pour out of my Spirit on all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:’” (Acts 2:17, Joel 2:28 AKJV)

When the Holy Spirit speaks strongly to us, it can be a strong mental voice, sometimes resembling a shout. Here are a few of the most common reasons why He speaks to us this way:

• When the issue is critical
• When He expects you to act upon it
• As a warning 

The more you draw close to God – especially once He reveals His plan for your life and you begin walking toward that destiny – the more He will speak to you in this strong voice. The free book, “Roadmap to Heaven” discusses this topic at length.

“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you…” (John 16:13 NKJV) 

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things…” (John 14:26 NKJV)

When Jesus returned to Heaven He said it would be better for us that He leave and send the Holy Spirit on his place who would teach us, guide us, and write the laws of God on our hearts (John 16:7, Jeremiah 31:33). Our heart is not the thing that pumps our blood, it is what we cannot live without, our spirit. This is the breath of God that is our eternal being.

Hidden Manipulation

God sent me a dream in which I explained to my biological sister and her husband (the husband is often Jesus), what exactly is manipulation and why it is wrong. I knew that this was for my Christian brothers and sisters. Here is what the Lord showed me in this dream:

Anytime you present facts in a way that you feel it will help you achieve a goal, this is manipulation and a spirit can become attached and begin manipulating you. It is one of the traits of a Jezebel class of spirits. (Read about Jezebel CLICK HERE)
