Loss of Anointing

VIDEO: Loss of Anointing

Our Heavenly Father is compassionate and has provided for His children, even leaders who have gone astray.

And if they are bound in fetters [of adversity] and held by cords of affliction, then He shows to them [the true character of] their deeds and their transgressions, that they have acted arrogantly [with presumption and self-sufficiency]. He also opens their ears to instruction and discipline, and commands that they return from iniquity.

If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasantness and joy. But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword [of God’s destructive judgments], and they shall die in ignorance of true knowledge. (Job 36:8-12 AMPC)

This is from Elihu, the one who spoke rightly about God to Job. When an attack comes upon a leader, they should seek God and find out why the door has been opened to the enemy. They must correct their mistake for the attack to be removed. If they do not change their ways, the attack will remain.

God has told us that we are entering a time of correction for His church which we discussed in “Waves Breaking Over Barriers in San Francisco.” This sign is of great importance. Our Lord gave a parable that will help us identify where we are in His eternal timeline. We need to look very carefully at this short story which He used as an example of what would happen before His return.

The Ten Virgins

Matthew 25:1-12 AKJV

Verses 1-2:

Then shall the Kingdom of Heaven be likened to ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the Bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

Virgins are often used to refer to those solely devoted to God. This makes us the waiting brides of Christ: all Christians upon this Earth. The Greek word, mōros (mo-ra's) is translated as “foolish,” which means without learning or enlightenment and not caring about the consequences. These are members of the Bride, who are not learning God’s ways or thinking about the consequences of their actions.

Verses 3-4:

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

The word used for “oil” is the same word used for the oil to anoint and the oil used to heal the sick. This is the anointing of God through which He brings healing. Some of God’s anointed are acting foolishly when they are not heeding His word as they should.

Verse 5:

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Notice that all the brides have the oil, which is the anointing of God, and they all got sleepy. The body of Christ, which is the bride of Christ, has long been asleep.

Verse 6:

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the Bridegroom comes; go you out to meet Him.

The “cry” is something that is loud and sudden. The body of Christ has been shaken and knows that the time is close!

Verse 7:

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

The whole body of Christ will know that the time is at hand. They will begin preparing for His return: Before the oil was placed in the lamps, they had to prepare the vessel. We see this elsewhere in scripture. God wants us to prepare a place for Him:

Let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. (Exodus 25:8 AKJV)

We are prepared to receive the anointing by the sharp sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. We cut sin from our life in order to make room for God to flow through us.

Verses 8 - 9:

And the foolish said to the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go you rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

When the shout comes, the Bride needs to be ready for the return of Jesus. We need to examine what we know about God. “Waves Breaking Over Barriers” pointed out a few of the items that God is addressing with His Church.

The Greek word agorazō (ä-go-rä'-zo), translated as “buy” means “to purchase; especially, to redeem.” Jesus is the Redeemer. When we take Him as Lord, He becomes our Master, Owner and we are technically “buying” our salvation as we become bondservants to Him.

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ… (James 1:1 AKJV)

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ… (2 Peter 1:1 AKJV)

The Greek word doulos means a slave, bondman, man of servile condition. A bondservant was someone who had an outstanding debt they could not pay and traded themselves into slavery to pay that debt. When we take Jesus as Lord, that is what we are doing.

We cannot restore the anointing once it has been removed from someone: they are servants of the Lord and He is the one who must restore them. We must point them back to the Lord: it will take effort for those who have lost the anointing to return to Him wherever they have departed from His ways.

WAIT and listen, everyone who is thirsty! Come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Yes, come, buy [priceless, spiritual] wine and milk without money and without price [simply for the self-surrender that accepts the blessing]. (Isaiah 55:1 AMPC)

This is what God means when He says we must go and “buy” the oil. It is not with money. We must go where there is godly wisdom coming forth for free - Isaiah says it is without price. Then we must surrender our will to God. Those who have been foolishly leading the body of Christ in a wrong way must not only correct their path but fully surrender where they have erred.

This correction has begun. Up until this point, all had oil. But now, only the wise would have oil, those who have learned and been corrected by Him.

A well-known prophet, who appeared on a TV show, confirmed this. He said that the Fathers of our faith in huge ministries will be removed and may well retire or move on to Heaven while new prophets appear to point people back to God’s ways. He also said that if those older, established ministers would take correction from these new prophets they could be spared.

Verse 10:

And while they went to buy, the Bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with Him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

If those who are not operating in God’s ways don’t quickly turn, the anointing will stop flowing and they will miss the Lord when He returns. There is only one Bride and she will be taken in a moment to her Groom. Those who are not wise in following God’s ways will be very surprised when they don’t get to go in. This is clearly stated in the Book of Revelation. See the series of messages on Revelation for more information.

Verses 11-12

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But He answered and said, Truly I say to you, I know you not.

When it is too late, a cry will go up from many, wondering why they have been left out. The Lord spoke of this earlier in Matthew:

Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? and in Your name have cast out devils? and in Your name, done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:22-23 AKJV)

In Jesus’ day, “you that work iniquity” is a phrase which means, “You who are unschooled in the Torah (first five books of the Bible).” This means that if we are unlearned in the ways of God, we are in danger of being cast out of the presence of the Lord.

Verse 13

Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man comes.

This means that the Outpouring will not stop until the Lord returns for His bride! Many have said that this is the “final” massive Outpouring. Those who have operated in a wrong way for years will lose the anointing of God, it will be the confirming sign of correction showing that Jesus is right at the door!

When I was first called by God, He sent me a dream about this season:

  • Why was it coming?
  • What would happen?
  • How to respond to it?

The Dream

I approached a door to a home with a pen and paper in hand like a reporter. An elderly, overweight woman opened the door and showed me inside. She used a walker to get to the kitchen table. The old woman sat at the table with two fully grown sons. They began serving themselves out of a large pot of beans and hot dogs until it was running off the sides of their plates. All the while, they complained about how much the electric bill cost and other expenses.

I followed the old woman as she left the table. There was a toilet by the big window in the living room which she sat on to do her business while telling me how their ticket had been stolen. If they had that ticket, then everything would be taken care of. She claims they had nearly completed the ticket.

I left their home and went to a place of business. There was a scruffy-looking guy behind a messy desk. On the shelf behind him, I saw a piece of paper. “You know that doesn’t belong to you,” I told him.

“Ya, so?” he replied.

I held out my hand, demanding “I’m returning it to its rightful owners.” The guy huffed but handed over the paper which was the ticket the old woman had spoken of. It was a crossword puzzle: three sections across and three sections down. All but the top middle section was filled in. Looking at the blank areas, I realized that I knew the missing words. Two of them were sex and ice.

From there I found myself flying, without a plane, to a beautiful, picturesque farm. The central buildings were surrounded by acres of farmland and some woodland as well. Like superman, I landed gracefully in the area between the main house and the barn. It was quiet, with little activity. A young man in his early 30’s had lead-lines that were trailing a group of four horses behind him, only one horse had a rider. I knew that this was the farmer’s son. As the farmer approached, I asked, “What happened?” I thought this place should be busier.

The farmer gestured for me to follow him to the barn. In a sudden vision, I saw what had happened: the two robust men I had met at the house pulled hay bales out from the bottom of the stack, which caused the rest of the bales to fall into a heap.

“They really made a big mess.” The farmer told me. I nodded my head in agreement, “They will have to pay to have this fixed.” He says sternly.

I sighed, knowing it was true. Instantly, I was knocking at the door to the old woman’s home. Her sons answered, letting me know their mother had died. I handed them the ticket, which was now completed, and said, “You know you did some damage at the farm. You are going to have to give half of this to pay for the damages.” One of the men agreed and took the ticket from me.

I soared to the farm again. This time, the area was bustling with activity. The farmer’s son was leading a group of people out on horses. Servants were preparing more horses for departure. The farmer greeted me warmly. He ushered me to the barn where the hay was neatly stacked. I asked, “Have they begun making their payments?” The farmer nodded as I continued, “Are you sending more supplies to them?”

This time he smiles sheepishly, “Not yet, but soon.” As we exited the barn he said, “I have a gift for you…”

At that moment, a huge horse stuck its head out of the three-story wooden window at the top of the barn. It was a blue roan, meaning the hair is both blue and white. This three-story horse charged out of the barn, ran down the road, and stood right in front of the farmer and me. “He’s all yours!”

I looked at the horse wondering how I was ever going to get into the saddle…

The Interpretation

The home is the worldwide church. The people inside are the leaders of particular churches. A table is where messages on the Word of God are served (spiritual food) and provision. Beans and hotdogs are basic food they are giving out.

Hotdogs are processed meat; some say there's very little actual meat in them. They are a mixture. The “meat” from these leaders is overly processed, stuffed full of fillers, with very little substance as they are wrapped in easy-to-digest packages. Beans are known for causing one to be “full of gas.” In other words, they “puff up the body or soul.”

They are not only serving this to others but giving themselves a very big portion. The church leaders today are using the need to cover expenses as an excuse for a puffed-up soul which is overriding the word of God concerning not charging for things that belong to Him.

The toilet is where we eliminate sin from our lives. The fact that it is in front of the window says that the whole world witnesses the sin in the church as they try to remove it.

The scruffy guy from whom I retrieved the ticket is Satan, he is the thief as mentioned in the Bible. The ticket contains the keys to God’s kingdom; access to Heavenly visits so He can move through His church upon this Earth. The knowledge of this was almost complete, but Satan works hard to take away God’s truth, which is the true power, out of the Church.

Three is the number of divine perfection and completion; with words (the Bible). The ticket is the perfection and completion found in His Word. The two words: “sex” is an intimate relationship with God and “ice” is the cool refreshing of the Holy Spirit (water).

These are two ingredients that are missing from much of the church. We use formula prayers instead of relying on the Holy Spirit to give us what to say. This develops as a result of having an intimate relationship with Him.

After completing the ticket, I visit the “farm” which is Heaven.

In the Bible, God is referred to as the farmer who sows seed (Matthew 13). His Son is Jesus. Jesus is ready to lead people into heavenly visits (He is the one leading, so the timing is whenever He chooses to). The reason people haven’t been visiting Heaven is found in the barn.

“Hay” represents supplies from Heaven to move in power. It is food for horses that represent power. God’s leaders here on Earth have been disrupting the flow of the power supply by taking their supplies in the wrong fashion.

The leaders of the worldwide body of Christ have stopped doing things God’s way. They no longer give what they receive from God for free, instead, they charge a price for worship, books, prayer and have even begun charging for conferences. This destroys the system God has in place.

When people give an offering, acknowledging that they have received from God, this allows God to move miraculously into that person's life. If people are charged for a revelation, they don’t get to make the choice of what that revelation is worth and how to honor God for that revelation. This is what an offering is, honoring the fact that God has brought something to you.

God, the Farmer, says there is a penalty for what they’ve done. Christ paid the price for our sin so that we have eternal life, however, sometimes there are consequences for that sin while we are still on Earth. For instance, if you kill someone, God forgives that sin, but you may still have to serve some time in jail.

The son answered the door because the old woman had died. I have been tasked with delivering the message to the Church leaders, “Thus sayeth the Lord:

“Those who have perverted My way and given birth to another church will be removed. Those who are following what they have been taught will have a chance to repent.”

And [Jesus] said to His disciples, Temptations (snares, traps set to entice to sin) are sure to come, but woe to him by or through whom they come! It would be more profitable for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were hurled into the sea than that he should cause to sin or be a snare to one of these little ones [lowly in rank or influence].  (Luke 17:1-2 AMPC)

The old woman represents leaders who have given birth to a church, who have led others astray and those leaders will be removed. Church leaders who have been taught wrong and were “planted” by another will be given a chance:

If they have been charging for anything that has to do with God and the anointing, they will need to give 50% of what they have to God. This is supported in the scripture:

And Zacchaeus stood, and said to the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. (Luke 19:8 AKJV)

Zacchaeus was a rich tax collector. In that profession, often more was taken from people than what was legally required, to line the pockets of the collectors. Because money was collected in a wrong way, he had to give 50% of all that he had to the poor in order to come into right standing with the Lord. God is saying that for those who lose the anointing, they will need to give half of all they have to Him. I am sure that this doesn’t mean they can give to some friend of theirs who has a ministry and has been acting equally wrong… but to God.

Notice that God didn’t send supplies right away. There will be a waiting period before the anointing returns. If you lose the anointing, don’t expect it to immediately return once you confess and repent.

Concerning the winning ticket, the cool part is this: All Christians are welcome to cash in this ticket. The FREE “Roadmap to Heaven” book will guide you to what you need to know. As the next part of the dream shows, Jesus is leading people around in Heaven. Horses are power. This means that when you visit, it is so that He can train you and endow you with power to show the world how much He loves them!

Believers' Boot Camp series

Believers' Boot Camp - Volume One
Believers' Boot Camp: Volume Two

Many people think of boot camp as a place you train for combat. Any veteran will tell you that basic training is about three things:

  • Knowing what weapons are available
  • Learning how to use those weapons
  • Receiving orders and following them
Believer’s Boot Camp series is a collection of books which teach us how to hear more clearly from God with the goal to ready ourselves for a face-to-face meeting with our Lord, Jesus. The series reveals the “weapons and tools” God has given us and how to use them, so we can bring God’s kingdom to Earth. Each book in the series focuses on a single topic to clearly define one tool or weapon from our Heavenly Father.

The series uses the Word of God to reveal all that He has given us through Jesus. The Bible is our instruction manual and the Holy Spirit is our guide to understanding it.

Why Doesn't God Speak to Me?

Believers’ Boot Camp, Volume 1

Eager hearts cry out, hoping for a single word to confirm that He hears us. Yet, many times the only sound is silence. Over the years I have heard several reasons why God speaks to some and not to others. One night, as I tossed and turned, I brought each of these reasons before the Lord, stating why each of them did not line up with who I thought He was.

Words rose from my soul, pleading for Him to reveal why He has remained silent when a single word from Him would mean so much to so many. For the next few hours, God used things I learned about years ago and things I had just discovered to show why He talks to some and why He doesn’t, and in demonstrative ways.

In His grace, He also showed me how people could hear more from Him. Basic instructions on how to hear more from God and how to be led by Him are included in this book. Thank you for taking time to consider the answers I received and share with you now.

Keys to Authority for Every Believer

Believers’ Boot Camp, Volume 2

There is untapped power that is easy for every Christian to access in the form of authority. The keys to this authority will unlock weapons we can use to free ourselves from the attacks of the enemy. We must be intimately aware of the bounds and limitations of our weapon if they are to be used effectively.

Find out about your authority:
  • Why you need it.
  • Where it comes from.
  • What you can do with it.
  • How to get more.

Destroying Curses in the Courts of Heaven

Believers’ Boot Camp, Volume 3

Our rights to appear in the Courts of Heaven have been greatly undervalued. The missing key to our authority is here. Jesus has provided the access and the Bible shows us the court procedures. When we learn to operate in our rightful place as children of the Most High, the enemy will be defeated and we will see the victory we have prayed for.

The death of Jesus freed us from the curse of the law. However, we must declare this freedom just as we must make a declaration for our salvation.

  • Can curses be passed to our children?
  • What are signs of a curse?
  • How do you get rid of one?

Every answer is backed by scripture. Come and find out how easy it is to be free!

Roadmap to Heaven

Believers’ Boot Camp, Volume 4

As I meditated and sought the Lord, a vision overcame me. A “Roadmap to Heaven” was deposited into my soul. We are entering a season of unparalleled access to Heaven. Jesus is calling all who are His to visit with Him in the Secret Place of the Most High.

  • What is the Secret Place?
  • How do we enter?
  • What will we find there?

The Bible holds the answers, the mystery has been revealed. As you use the map given in this book to journey to the Secret Place, discover your destiny and find the gifts the Holy Spirit will bring along the way.
