The topic of soul ties can be very difficult to understand unless you are aware of two basic principles:
The Rightful Order of Creation
We are like God
Let’s establish a basis of understanding for these things first.
1. Rightful Order
There are two realms: a physical realm and a spiritual realm. We have a tendency to put more faith and confidence in what we can feel, touch, and see in our physical existence. The more apparent and substantial something is, the more we trust in it.
Words are powerful. If we entertain gossip with others, a spiritual tie can go down to the “inmost part” or our soul. We don’t have to be physically present with that person. We can partake of gossip through written words or videos, and still find ourselves under attack. When we like, share, or even watch a video on social media sites e.g., YouTube, we are supporting these things. As a Christian, we should consider what we are supporting. What endeavors are you lending your voice to? What spirits are you giving a place to by agreeing (liking, sharing or listening to), as you watch videos?
You may be thinking about films with sex, violence, or witchcraft in them. It is true that we should guard our heart against these and try to avoid supporting them in any way, but I was sent a “free” one hour version of a video about religious leaders on YouTube and was very disturbed by what I saw. While watching this video, a deep fog settled around my head. I knew the video was wrong, but I couldn’t put two thoughts together to understand why. It was this mistake that made us realize we have to be careful and discern what we are listening to.
The evidence presented was short clips taken out of context with a lot of accusations and many people saying how great the full video was. The only thing I could pinpoint was that it was nothing more than an hour-long teaser for the paid version. This is the same tactic used in the Garden of Eden. Eve had added to what God said and Satan used that:
Children are nearest and dearest to the hearts and minds of their parents. In a series of visions, the Lord has revealed to us what we can expect when we pray for our children, especially as we place them before the Throne of Grace. This revelation can be applied to others outside our family as well. It was the prayers and determination of one mother that helped bring this revelation to light.
At our Tea and Coffee meeting, Jalo asked why things were getting worse for her son, Quin, when he was at the Throne of Grace. I gave this example of a natural application:
You have a young child who is prone to wandering. There is a highway on a hill nearby. You know that your child could be killed if they wander onto that road. You know the danger, but your child does not. In an attempt to keep your child from dying, you place barbed wire and other painful obstacles between your child and the road. The closer your child gets to the road, the more painful the obstacles. Some determined children will push through painful obstacles, but it is the grace and mercy of God that keeps putting more painful things between eternal death and His children.
My family took a few days off during the celebration of our Independence Day, the 4th of July. Although I was gone from the ministry, God brought a major revelation about operating in the Courts of Heaven. Here is how the Lord made this revelation perfectly clear to me:
It was late when we arrived at Grandma’s cabin: the family was exhausted. The smell of cat urine came forcibly to my senses in two different spots, one downstairs and one upstairs. The Holy Spirit had used this type of discernment before, so I knew it meant demons were present.
And
to Adam He said, Because you have listened and given heed to the voice
of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you,
saying, You shall not eat of it, the ground is under a curse because of
you; in sorrow and toil shall you eat [of the fruits] of it all the days
of your life. (Genesis 3:17 AMPC)
And
I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness
upon you] and curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward
you... (Genesis 12:3)
To
remove attacks, we must identify them and know why they are allowed in
our lives. A curse is a legal right for the enemy to afflict us in some
way. The first mention of a curse in the Bible is when God put a curse
upon the ground after Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge (Genesis
3:17). God also told Abraham that He would curse those who dishonored
him (Genesis 12:3).
“And the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend… (Exodus 33:11)
Most people know that God spoke to Moses face to face. Did you know that this was God’s will for all His people, but because they had forgotten God’s ways, they were too afraid to do it:
