Breaking Generational Curses

Q & A about Generational Curses

Some Christians today think curses are non-existent, and yet they cannot seem to explain why the same thing that happened to their parents or grandparents shows up in their life and the lives of their family members. It may be a sickness, attitude, or a sin that we have a hard time avoiding. When we see a pattern of behavior in our parents, grandparents, or siblings, there is a chance that a generational or ancestral curse is active.
You shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me… (Deuteronomy 5:9 AMPC)
Certain sins can pass down to our offspring for several generations. We know Jesus came to redeem us from the curse of the Law (singular), which was passed unto all mankind, for it is written, “all have come short of the glory of God.” If you broke any part of the Law of Moses, the curse you encountered for breaking the Law was that your final destination would be Hell. There were other curses (plural) that were determined by the actual sin. These curses can be passed down the generational line due to that sin.
When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your fury or indignation) last until the sun goes down. Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him]. (Ephesians 4:26-27 AMPC)
This is one of the many places that the New Testament encourages us to turn from our sin. If sin has no effect on our life, then why should we turn from it? Here we see that it gives the enemy an opportunity to attack in our life.
It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23 AKJV)
If God’s mercy is new every day, so are His judgments. This is why we are encouraged to remove any sin immediately. When the sins belong to our ancestors, they are labeled as curses which are strongholds for demons to influence us. These influences are negative behaviors or even attacks from others that occur along our family line: they are passed on from our ancestors to us as a result of sin, often carrying with them demonic attachments. When we know how ancestral curses impact us, we can confess the sins of our ancestors (Daniel 9) and repent if we ourselves have personally opened the door to them. This allows the Lord to remove charges in the Courts of Heaven and remove access of enemy spirits.

The word 'trait' will be used in conjunction with ancestral curses. The Cambridge dictionary defines 'trait' as a particular characteristic that can produce a particular type of behavior. This behavior in the context of this article is demonically influenced due to sin.

Ancestral curses have roots and traits which hinder or limit our life. When patterns of behavior dominate our lives, they hinder us from being productive for our Lord. In every generation, actions have consequences for the following generation. The good brings generational blessings and bad brings curses. Jacob pronounced both blessings and curses that would follow down the line of each of his children according to their actions in Genesis 49:1-27. If our ancestors went against God's ways, their sin would most certainly give a curse a place to attach itself to our life. This can clearly be seen in these two scriptures.
As the bird by wandering, as the Swallow by flying; so the curse causeless shall not come. (Proverbs 26:2 KJV)
Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them; for I, the Lord thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me. (Deuteronomy 5:9 KJV)
The word translated “hate” is the Hebrew word sane, which can also be translated as “enemy.” Sins are actions against God’s ways and His kingdom. This aligns us with Satan instead of God, which then gives a curse a place to land in our lives. Let’s look at the effects of curses and show how other traits are connected.

Polygamy

This was a common practice in the Old Testament pre and post Law. Today it is practiced in many parts of the world and in many religions. Though polygamy may be legal, it is not beneficial and can bring curses that travel down a family line. It goes against the perfect design of God. From the beginning, God established the institution of marriage between Adam and Eve:
Then the LORD God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” (Genesis 2:18 ESV)
Notice that he didn't say “helpers,” but rather it was “helper:” it is singular and not plural.
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. (Genesis 2:24 ESV)
It was God’s will for each person to be joined perfectly with one other person. Once sin was introduced into mankind, polygamy was allowed for a time, but it was not God’s perfect will.

New Testament Proof

A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife… (1 Timothy 3:2 Titus 1:6-7 KJV)
Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. (1 Corinthians 7:2 AKJV)
“Therefore, a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” (Ephesians 5:31 ESV)
This is from the New Testament. It is clear that in order to serve at the higher positions with God, we are to have one “wife,” not “wives.” Why did God say that the two shall become one flesh? I believe it is because of the consequences that come with having more than one wife.

If a man were to have more than one wife, there might be generational issues that may arise from the many unions because of the nature of all humans is like God, who is a jealous God, not wanting to share our affections with another. Our jealousy in these situations isn’t the righteous jealousy like our Father, it is motivated by other sinful emotions. It can lead to anger and unforgiveness toward the husband and other wives, and this same jealousy can be passed down generationally.
For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance. (Proverbs 6:34 AKJV)
Undealt with negative emotions stirred up by multiple wives such as jealousy, hate, anger, and mistrust breed sinful responses. There is often a lack of unity, as each wife with their children often live in other sections of the husband's house. Rebellion often takes root, especially against the father, who is usually the breadwinner. The husband of many wives has rebelled against God’s perfect will, and his children, in turn, rebel against him. These sins give the curses a place to stick. A generational curse of polygamy often gives birth to idolatry as you focus on the relationships around you instead of God.

Have you ever paused to wonder why a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather commit the same sin over and over again? Do you have jealousy issues, especially ones where others around you cannot understand where it is coming from? You can pray and ask the Holy Spirit if anyone in your generational line committed the sin of adultery or polygamy. You can then confess it and renounce it, covering the sin with the blood of Jesus. We see the need for this in the New Testament:
“You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean.” (Matthew 23:26 ESV)
We must take care of all sins in our life, even internal ones. That is the repentance that is needed to remove sins that can allow a curse to remain in our lives. As mentioned earlier, ancestral curses have roots and traits. Here are some of the common ones.

Consequence: Childlessness

...If any man’s wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him, and a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner; and the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled... (Numbers 5:12-14 KJV)
If a husband thought a wife had committed adultery, but there was no proof, there was a test done by the priest. After drinking some cursed water, either she would become ill or:
And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed. (Numbers 5:28 KJV)
The positive result was that she could “conceive a seed,” meaning she could get pregnant. When she could not conceive, it was an indication that being unfaithful would bring a curse of barrenness. This is a curse that cuts right to the heart. Bearing children in many nations still adds to a woman’s stature.

There is still an element of polygamy in some cultures. Unfortunately, in these same nations, people look to other gods for the fruit of the womb. They visit mediums, sacrifice animals, and do rituals that bring them deeper into bondage, all because they want children. The medium may often ask for something in exchange that is hard to give. When we fall for this, more curses are added to the family line. When blood is spilled in connection to sin, then the curse will often last longer than four generations until it is confessed and renounced by someone in the family line. Sometimes people may dedicate the child they bear to other gods along with the first offspring of that child for future generations. This too would have to be confessed and renounced to be broken.

Dedication to Other Gods or Idols

In some nations, there are shrines outside of cities or villages. To enter such places, a visitor is often required to place a sacrifice by the shrine. This is actually worshiping another god and offering a sacrifice to it. It can cause demons to attach to that person. Those spirits can pursue such a person, and after their demise, the spirits can pursue the descendants of this person and lay traps for them. Once someone in the family line commits a sin connected to worshiping other gods, the curse will continue. Unless this is renounced, it continues on to generation after generation because it isn’t due solely to sin but also because there was an actual sacrifice and dedication of the ancestor. It is sort of like passing the buck.

Often people who have a curse like this upon them never make any real progress in their life. They ask questions and look for answers everywhere except from God. If these people begin serving the gods or idols to whom they were dedicated, the spirits behind these idols may go into hiding for a long time. This may mislead them into thinking they are on the right path. That path will eventually lead to destruction, especially if they are drawn into the occult and into secret societies when seeking to further improve their lives.

At this stage, hearts can be hardened towards the gospel. False prophets may be drawn to them, for demonic spirits will recognize each other and work together to create additional bondage and suffering. Praise God that our Lord has all authority! If they turn to Him, they can be set free.

Blood Rituals

These are common practices in secret societies all around the world. The enemy always has a counterfeit to Biblical principles. In scripture, it says the life of the flesh is in the blood. In Christ, we have access to eternal life because of our acceptance and faith in Jesus and His finished work.

When blood is shed, the enemy will sometimes allow those under him to be preserved, prosper, and live longer on the earth. However, the enemy's purpose is to kill, steal, and destroy all humanity and even those who serve him. This is throwing one stone to hit many targets. In other words, both the perpetrators and the victims are destined for eternal destruction.
What have you done? the voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground. (Genesis 4:10 AKJV)
So you shall not pollute the land wherein you are: for blood it defiles the land: (Numbers 35:33 AKJV)
Blood always speaks. The more blood is shed by the perpetrators, the more judgment they fall into, and the more polluted the land becomes. Blood rituals or any form of agreement requires a witness. Paul said:
This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. (2 Corinthians 13:1 AKJV)
One witness is from the person declaring a statement, the other is from the blood that cries out from the ground. The blood used can also determine the influence given to the enemy. Traditions of incisions of the body and mixed animal DNA will bring a curse, often specific to what animal is used. For example, dead turtle’s DNA coupled with ritualistic prayers to other gods cause a person to be as slow as a turtle in everything they do. Everything they do is always later in life. This common practice in some parts of the world means that it can pass from parents to children, who also experience the same thing.

Consequence: Premature Death

When there is an agreement with the enemy from our generational line, then he may have the rights to our life as a result of that broken agreement. The enemy always has a counterfeit of what scripture says. Scripture says the wages of sin is death.

The type of covenants with the enemy will often determine the outcome. Often agreements are made for wealth and others for protection. This becomes a consciousness that is passed onto them by their ancestors. A person with this kind of ancestral sin may be drawn to witchcraft. You can spot this kind of curse if you have been told that you may not wear certain colors, eat certain foods, or travel over a river. Once that agreement is broken, death may have the right to come to them. Praise be to God because we have life in Christ, and His blood has paid for even these agreements when we take Him as Lord.

Pride

One of the things that will cause a curse to continue to function is pride. All of the things mentioned already give pride a stronghold in future generations. This means we must constantly battle pride. Because our ancestors didn’t humble themselves under the hand of the Almighty, they looked to the enemy to exalt themselves. As a result, we tend to exalt ourselves and really don’t understand humility. Once the curses are broken, then the Holy Spirit will be able to guide us into God’s ways.

Two Types of Generational Curses

It is very clear that the enemy looks to hinder and afflict us with two types of ancestral curses:
  1. Sins
  2. Agreements
Curses can be activated by actions by our ancestors. Depending upon what was done, they will need to be dealt with in different ways.

Sins

The soul that sins, it [is the one that] shall die. The son shall not bear and be punished for the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear and be punished for the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him only, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon the wicked only. (Ezekiel 12:20 AMPC)
This verse seems to say that the sins of our ancestors cannot affect us. We must not take this out of context. The entire chapter is devoted to urging God’s people to walk in the ten commandments. Right before this verse, we see this:
Yet do you say, Why does not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son has done that which is lawful and right and has kept all My statutes and has done them, he shall surely live. (Ezekiel 12:19 AMPC)
In order for the sins of our father not to affect us, we must not walk in the same sin. When the enemy knows there is a possibility of activating a curse, he puts pressure on us to commit the same type of sin as our ancestors so that he has a place in our lives.

The only way to break this curse is to find out what sin you have walked in that was connected to your ancestors’ sin. Through confession, this sin can be removed by the blood of Jesus and the curse can be broken.

Agreements

An agreement with the enemy by our ancestors can be found in many forms:
  • Oaths - with or without blood
  • Dedications
  • Sacrifices - with or without blood
  • Covenants
All of these items are spoken or written out between our ancestors and Satan’s kingdom. It will take a verbal confession to remove them, and the blood of Jesus stated, as the payment. There are free classes available at Courts of Heaven Academy that can help you with both types of generational curses.

Here is the good news: You can be FREE! In other books, you will see proof in the scriptures about why the blood needs to be applied to sin to become free. Once you have faith in this necessity, you are ready to claim your freedom. Sometimes we need help to find the root cause. Once you complete the core courses at the Academy (101-401) then you will be able to schedule an intercession if there are still unresolved issues.

  • First: Acknowledge that there is a problem in your life, from what the Holy Spirit reveals to you about your ancestry.
    • Did your ancestors sin against God?
  • Second: Acknowledge that you need help to break free. Your help is found only in God, Almighty, whom we access through Jesus Christ by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
    • Confess any sin you have committed that is linked to the generational curse.
    • No one can receive help unless they are truly open to receiving it. That is humility, which is one of the conditions God requires of us.
  • Third: You must be willing to forgive those you have blamed for all the challenges you faced.
  • Fourth: Acknowledge that “The Mighty Judge” was right to judge you and your ancestors, and you have been justly afflicted by the enemy.
  • Fifth: Ask for the blood of Jesus to blot out these sins.
  • Sixth: Ask the Lord to contend for you in the Courts, removing any cases where the sins have been blotted out.
  • Seventh: Ask the Lord to remove all curses so that they no longer have a place to land in your life and restore all the enemy has taken from you.
God sent his only begotten son to die for you because of His deep love for you. God has a purpose and a great destiny for each one of you. There is hope in Christ, and once one becomes aware of what is against them, they can be free, and testimonies will follow. However, it is a process and requires you to continue to walk in obedience. Keep your eyes focused on him.

Believers' Boot Camp series

Believers' Boot Camp - Volume One
Believers' Boot Camp: Volume Two
Roadmap to Heaven
Destroying Curses
in the Courts of Heaven

Many people think of boot camp as a place you train for combat. Any veteran will tell you that basic training is about three things:
  • Knowing what weapons are available
  • Learning how to use those weapons
  • Receiving orders and following them
Believer’s Boot Camp series is a collection of books which teach us how to hear more clearly from God with the goal to ready ourselves for a face-to-face meeting with our Lord, Jesus. The series reveals the “weapons and tools” God has given us and how to use them, so we can bring God’s kingdom to Earth. Each book in the series focuses on a single topic to clearly define one tool or weapon from our Heavenly Father.

The series uses the Word of God to reveal all that He has given us through Jesus. The Bible is our instruction manual and the Holy Spirit is our guide to understanding it.

Volume 1: Why Doesn't God Speak to Me?

Eager hearts cry out, hoping for a single word to confirm that He hears us. Yet, many times the only sound is silence. Over the years I have heard several reasons why God speaks to some and not to others. One night, as I tossed and turned, I brought each of these reasons before the Lord, stating why each of them did not line up with who I thought He was.

Words rose from my soul, pleading for Him to reveal why He has remained silent when a single word from Him would mean so much to so many. For the next few hours, God used things I learned about years ago and things I had just discovered to show why He talks to some and why He doesn’t, and in demonstrative ways.

In His grace, He also showed me how people could hear more from Him. Basic instructions on how to hear more from God and how to be led by Him are included in this book. Thank you for taking time to consider the answers I received and share with you now.

Keys to Authority for Every Believer

There is untapped power that is easy for every Christian to access in the form of authority. The keys to this authority will unlock weapons we can use to free ourselves from the attacks of the enemy. We must be intimately aware of the bounds and limitations of our weapon if they are to be used effectively.

Find out about your authority:
  • Why you need it.
  • Where it comes from.
  • What you can do with it.
  • How to get more.

Our Guide to the Secret Place

Our Guide Meeting

The Holy Spirit asked me to provide an introduction for Him so that He could move into your life in greater measure. He sent a dream a few years back: It was the first dream the Holy Spirit ever interpreted before I even knew it was a gift He gives to people. This dream shows us not only how to get to the Secret Place but also what role the Holy Spirit plays in that trip:

I left an Indian encampment with a minister I was learning from (dark-haired man) and two people I lovingly referred to as “Hippy,” a long-haired man who smoked a pipe with vision causing materials in it and “Linebacker,” a large woman who was bigger than most men. Dark-haired man led us to an old dock with a canoe that had seen better days. He was in the front, followed by Hippy, me, then Linebacker at the end of the boat.

Finding and Closing Spiritual Gates

Closing Gates Meeting with Prayer
He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalms 91:1)
The opening line to one of the most power-packed prayers in the entire Bible begins by speaking about the Secret Place of God.This is a destination in the spiritual realm where you can be hidden in a private fellowship with God. We are a spirit being in a physical body with a soul (mind, will, and emotions). We can and should connect with our Father, who is a Spirit, in Heaven. The Word also tells us that the Lord is the one who opens the gate (door, portal)  and leads us into these encounters:
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. (John 10:9)
According to the words of our Lord, there is going in and coming out of the Secret Place through Him. This is the right way to enter into the spirit realm. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:17) and He should always be there if we are moving about in the spirit. If we access the realm of the spirit without Him, we may have an open door through which  the enemy can  come in and attack us.

The Key to Meditation & the Secret Place

The Key (meeting)

Basics of Meditation

Meditation means to engage in contemplation or reflection. It is letting go of all the things in this physical world and focusing on something in your mind; your imagination. The Bible tells us that our thoughts are important. Scripture instructs us in what we should be meditating on:
“I will meditate also on all Your work, and talk of Your doings.” (Psalms 77:12 AKJV)
“Meditate on these things; give yourself wholly to them; that your profiting may appear to all.” (1 Timothy 4:14 AKJV)
Paul instructs Timothy to meditate and think on the gifts that had been given to him by the Holy Spirit. When we meditate on the things of God it honors Him. This allows Him to reveal more about those things to us.

God's Message to You

Full Message from God
(The video has more info)

One of the gifts God has brought over the years is the gift of interpretation. Mostly this is used on dreams, but it can be applied to numbers when they come in a miraculous way.  Previously I gave a testimony about how God supernaturally sent the numbers 313 to my husband. That story can be found in the free book: Angels Believe in You. Here is what the actual numbers mean according to God’s word:
  • 3 - perfection in the spirit
  • 1 - God
The night my husband received the numbers for the second time in the exact same way, the Holy Spirit showed me how these apply to the body of Christ. He has never receive the numbers in that way in 20 years. In the number “313” the one is surrounded by threes. If we focus on God, if He is the center of our world, it will bring us from “glory to glory.” We will become perfected in the spirit little by little.

Our Mind vs The Holy Spirit

Our Mind vs The Holy Spirit

Testing Holy Spirit

One day I received a disturbing message from a student at the CoH Academy. She said, “I asked the Holy Spirit if everything was going to go my way in an earthly court case and He said that I would be victorious. I even tested it by asking if Jesus the Messiah came in the flesh and the spirit agreed. But I lost! How can this happen?”

During my prayer time I asked the Holy Spirit what happened, “You are never wrong, so it wasn’t you who spoke to her. Was there something wrong with the way the spirit was tested? Is there a way to get around the testing?”

He replied, “I wasn’t speaking to her. The enemy wasn’t speaking to her. It was her own mind. She is too focused on the problem. She is a young Christian; her soul is still dominating her spirit. She has placed this problem above God; it is an idol. Her own mind is in control of it.”

“Oh no,” I thought. “Then how can Christians be sure that what they are hearing is from You?”

The Voice of God - 313

The Miracle

Voice of God - 313 Video

I hoped this day would not come; it was my intention to never speak about these things outside of the book God told me to write. In my prayer time with the Lord, He asked me to tell you the full story of the miraculous sign of 313, leaving nothing out. For the first time I will share everything, all at once. This is so you know how I received this number and could then see how it applies to you and your life.

The very first year I devoted my life to God was filled with signs, wonders, and miracles. In the early summer of 2001, I lay in bed, praying as I always did, “Dear God, I thank you so much for…”

A loud voice that sounded like it came from everywhere and nowhere interrupted my prayer and said, “I bless you.”

Leviathan - Who, What, How

Leviathan

The Bible labels the armies of Egypt as Leviathan. Satan’s network in the spirit realm, hovering over the Earth, is called by the same name. (Revelation 12:3) When we say an attack of “Leviathan,” we are saying that it is a coordinated attack by the armies of Satan. There are direct and indirect references to Leviathan in the Bible. The direct references are:

  • Psalms 74:14, 104:25-26
  • Isaiah 27:1
  • Job 41

Revelation 13:1 refers to Leviathan indirectly, even though it does not mention it by name. Leviathan has traits, divisions (or heads, leaders), and a purpose which is to use pride to stifle and destroy lives and destinies God has created you for. We can see many of these divisions in the types of attacks he brings upon us.

Abba is Waiting

Abba is Waiting Meeting

When things go wrong in my life, I immediately seek the Lord to see if it is a trial or a test, or if I have gone wrong somewhere and left myself open to an attack from the enemy. This is what the Bible tells us to do:

In You, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in Your righteousness. (Psalm 31:1 AKJV)

The Hebrew word chacah (khä·säw)  is translated as “put my trust,” but according to “Strong’s Concordance” it means to trust, put hope upon, and seek refuge. The Lord wants us to run to Him when things go wrong in order to be delivered from what is attacking us. It shouldn’t matter if it is the flu that is going around, an accident, or something bigger. We can seek Jesus and ask why it is happening.

Removing Blockages to the Secret Place

Removing Blockages to the Secret Place

...in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me up on a rock. (Psalm 27:5 AKJV)

The word “tabernacle” means tent. The Secret Place is called the secret tent of God. This is a psalm (song) of David who had a big destiny with God. A prophet anointed him and declared that he would be the next king of Israel despite the fact that his own father thought so little of him that he wasn’t even called from the field to be tested: the prophet had to ask Jessie if he had any other sons! (1 Samuel 16:11) David was able to walk into his destiny with God because he knew how to abide in the Secret Place. It is God’s great desire to have all His children visit Him there.

How to Find and Remove Soul Ties

Find and Remove Soul Ties

Soul ties are bridges in the spirit realm that connect to our mind, will, and emotions. The emotions are a key point of contact: Almost any powerful emotional and passionate encounter with other people can form or forge soul ties. Traumas like fights, arguments, strife, accidents, fires, earthquakes, sickness, wars, death, etc. have the potential to establish a negative spiritual influence in our lives. There are good ties, as we discussed in Benefits of Soul ties. There are also ungodly ties that give the enemy access to us.

Benefits of Soul Ties

The topic of soul ties can be very difficult to understand unless you are aware of two basic principles:
  1. The Rightful Order of Creation
  2. We are Like God
Let’s establish a basis of understanding for these things first.

Spiritual Traps Through Technology

Spirit Traps Meeting

Words are powerful. If we entertain gossip with others, a spiritual tie can go down to the “inmost part” or our soul. We don’t have to be physically present with that person. We can partake of gossip through written words or videos, and still find ourselves under attack. When we like, share, or even watch a video on social media sites e.g., YouTube, we are supporting these things. As a Christian, we should consider what we are supporting. What endeavors are you lending your voice to? What spirits are you giving a place to by agreeing (liking, sharing or listening to), as you watch videos?

You may be thinking about films with sex, violence, or witchcraft in them. It is true that we should guard our heart against these and try to avoid supporting them in any way, but I was sent a “free” one hour version of a video about religious leaders on YouTube and was very disturbed by what I saw. While watching this video, a deep fog settled around my head. I knew the video was wrong, but I couldn’t put two thoughts together to understand why. It was this mistake that made us realize we have to be careful and discern what we are listening to.

The evidence presented was short clips taken out of context with a lot of accusations and many people saying how great the full video was. The only thing I could pinpoint was that it was nothing more than an hour-long teaser for the paid version. This is the same tactic used in the Garden of Eden. Eve had added to what God said and Satan used that:
“But of the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.” (Genesis 3:3 AKJV)
God only said not to eat it. Eve added the word “touch.” The snake (Satan) urged Eve to touch the fruit and perhaps when she found that it didn’t harm her, she also ate it. When words are twisted, taken out of context, or added to, the enemy has an opportunity to lead us astray.

This tactic of inflaming facts to draw attention is not new. The evening news figured out years ago that more people watch bad news because it stirs up our emotions. Videos may slant the facts, presenting a wrong view to stir up fear and condemnation for you to like and share so they can make money!

Short comments in this particular video were taken out of context to condemn others - this is not honest or the TRUTH and God is TRUTH. It is easy to pick things apart and stir up a mob, but can you dig through some of the flesh and see the gold underneath?
IT WAS THE PHARISEES WHO STIRRED UP THE MOB TO CONDEMN JESUS.
When His disciples wanted to call down fire on those preaching the Gospel but not associated with Jesus, the Lord said, "No. He who is not against us is for us."
“...Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” (1 Chronicles 16:22 AKJV)
When someone has been anointed by God, we are not to come against them. King David was a man after God’s own heart. When Saul was being tormented by demons and sending armies to kill him, David would not attack Saul because he was anointed by God even though David, himself, was also anointed by God.

In 2 Samuel 12, God sent a prophet to correct David for the killing of Bathsheba's husband. The prophet strongly rebuked David for his actions. Nathan the prophet was sent to David to give correction, not to stir up the populous against him. Unless you are a prophet and are sure you are hearing from God to give a correction, you should not touch God's anointed!

Because I had listened to the words of this video that were meant to stir up anger and outrage, a spiritual influence had come upon me. After I spent time in God’s intense presence and broke all soul ties, the fog lifted and I could think again. That was when I knew I had to write this article and warn others to be careful of what you are exposing yourself to.

Don’t watch programs or read articles that stir up your passion for anything that is not God, His Word (Jesus), or the Holy Spirit! It creates an open door that may let the enemy hinder you from receiving guidance from the Holy Spirit. When something is coming against an anointed man or woman of God, this is the most dangerous type of video; listening to it may cause a spiritual hindrance.

What you find in some videos and posts on social media are meant to stir up people who will LIKE, SHARE and WATCH, so that a profit can be made. Because they are invoking intense emotions in a skewed manner, it leaves our spirits open to influences that are not from God. If you like or share prayer requests and say amen, you may be coming into wrong agreement, which could bring an attack from the enemy as well. See the Courts of Heaven Academy Workbook 2 or the 201 classes online for information about what to look out for concerning wrong agreement.

Be careful not to come into agreement with wrong prayers. God doesn’t work through fear and condemnation.

DON’T LIKE, SHARE OR EVEN WATCH THESE TYPES OF THINGS!

If you do come into wrong agreement, it is easy to fix what you have done with the help of our Lord. The best prayer I have ever heard for severing soul ties was from a Team Member at Agape Christian Fellowship:
Lord Jesus, please remove any ties to my soul. I desire to be holy for YOU. For it is written, “You shall be holy, for I AM holy” (1 Peter1:16 KJV) To be separated unto YOU and YOU alone, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, according to the word of GOD. (Hebrews 4:12) I take the sword of the Spirit – Your Word – (for YOUR Word God is quick, and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)) – and sever any ties in YOUR mighty Name. In YOUR name, Jesus, I thank YOU for cutting any ties to my spirit. Any bridge that was developed through prayer/thoughts/words. Mighty GOD, I ask to strengthen all ties to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name AMEN!
When we back up our actions with the rightly applied Word of God, it is more powerful than anything in this world! As children of God, our words are very powerful. We need to be aware that words can help us or open us to danger. The electronic age has another pitfall we should look out for as well.

Dangers of Avatars

Avatars are a concept in Hinduism that means coming from another level, a descent. It is primarily used in connection with the physical appearance or incarnation of many of their gods on Earth. This is why they use a term meaning descent, referring to spirits moving from one plane of existence to another.

Does this mean that an avatar is evil? The word is merely describing what they believe is occurring.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1 AKJV))
Jesus is the Word. He was God in the flesh and a man on this Earth. For this reason, some may refer to Jesus as the avatar of Yahweh.
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.       (1 Thessalonians 5:23 ESV)
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5 ESV)
Paul makes it very clear that we are a spirit who has a soul and lives in a body. This confirms what God said to Jeremiah: He knew us before we were born. This means we existed in Heaven before we were born here on Earth. Every human being is an avatar according to the Hindu concept of the original word.

We understand that like many words, though the original definition of the word was linked to a spirit taking bodily form, in the modern day world we now use this term to refer to a broader spectrum closer to a representation rather than an actual manifestation. According to Merriam-Webster:
  1. a variant phase or version of a continuing basic entity the latest avatar of the conservative movement
  2. an electronic image that represents and may be manipulated by a computer user (as in a game)
Most people see an “avatar,” in the most basic sense, as representing a living entity that has taken a different form. This type of system has been used in many cultures in a myriad of ways, though they were not referred to as avatars by:
  • The Government
  • In Games
  • On Electronic Systems
There are dangers involved in these representations as well, which we will address. The primary danger comes from misusing the word “avatar” which has a spiritual connection. Satan is a legalist. He loves to use our words against us.
But I say to you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned. (Matthew 12:36-37 AKJV)
When we begin confessing that we have an “avatar” then we are saying that our spirit is attached to that item. Likewise, if a program or game says to create your “avatar” we may be in danger of coming into wrong agreement with what will happen.

We need to find a better, more accurate way to describe what is actually occurring. No one actually believes that they are being physically created in a game or an electronic device, yet by calling it an “avatar” this is what we are declaring it to be. Let’s look at some of the ways we are represented by another object and see if there is a better way to describe what is going on.

Avatars in Government

Since 1936 America implemented a system of identifying people for financial and legal purposes. People are assigned a social security number which represents who they are to the government. We can use this to identify ourselves in legal and financial matters.  The very specific and accurate name given to the representation, puts it into its proper place:
  • Social: our place in society
  • Security: to secure into place
  • Number: a nine-digit number represents us
Every American should be aware of the dangers of having their social security number in the wrong hands, especially if their full name and birth date are also acquired by others. With these key pieces of information our identity can be stolen. Our finances can be attacked and our life can be greatly disrupted. Just like social security numbers, other identifying representations can bring dangers into our lives.

Game Components

Game pieces representing persons, places, and things have been around since the release of Monopoly at the very least. In this board game, we boldly declare, “I am the hat,” “I am the shoe,” “I am the iron,” etc. Every move that the hat makes in the Monopoly board game, the player is responsible for. If the player with the hat game piece makes a move and lands on the “go to jail” square, that player must pay $50 to get out of jail. That player doesn’t actually change into the hat, so it is not an “avatar.” That piece is merely representing you in the game.

The items are correctly labeled:
  • Game - a contest with specific rules
  • Piece - a part of a larger whole
Operating through a game piece which you control and represents you may still have a few dangers. It is a long-held debate on whether our actions in a game can be held against us. If lying is expected in playing a certain game, are we guilty of the sin of lying?
Like a madman who casts firebrands, arrows, and death, So is the man who deceives his neighbor and then says, Was I not joking? (Proverbs 26:18-19 AMPC)
Jesus made it clear that the sin of lust and murder occur in our hearts. In this scripture, it seems that even if we deceive or lie to others, then claim to be joking, it is not okay with God.

I have endured much ridicule in life because I do not like to lie, even in a game. If the game requires lying, I abstain. Why would I want to run the chance of walking crosswise with God for a game! It isn’t worth it.

Electronic Avatars

Since the development of video games, we have been using electronic representations. The very first “role-playing game” RPG in 1979 was called Avatar. According to Wikipedia,

The use of the term avatar for the on-screen representation of the user was coined in 1985 by Richard Garriott for the computer game Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar. In this game, Garriott desired the player's character to be his earth self-manifested into the virtual world. Garriott did this because he wanted the real player to be responsible for the character's in-game actions due to the ethical parables he designed into the story.

We should consider this original intent anytime we have a character on a screen that we are controlling. Could the actions we command to be done be spiritually dangerous? There are some actions in a game that do not involve other people. Spiritually speaking, you may not be committing a sin, because you haven’t acted against a person. However, you may want to consider:
  • Lies are told to other people: If we lie to a NPC (non-player character) we are not really lying to a person, for it is only a computer program. Can repeatedly performing this action make it seem that lying is not such a big deal?
  • Murder is committed when a person actually dies, so killing someone in a game is not murder. Does our heart become more accepting of extreme measures, even death to achieve our goals?
There are actions that our electronic representative or avatar can perform which are sins. There doesn’t need to be a recipient of the action to qualify it as sin in God’s eyes:
  • Worshipping other gods: if the person we are in control of has to worship another god, and we are commanding that avatar to perform that action, then we are guilty.
  • Performing magic spells: witchcraft and spells need no recipient to open a door to the enemy. The act of performing the spell is opening the door.
  • Cursing: as Christians we are told to bless and not curse. We are also told to let no profane language come out of our mouths. Do not use the excuse that it is only a game lead you into cursing.
If a game requires these actions, you should abstain. If you have performed them, you could confess and plead the blood over the actions you come into agreement with. We should not add to these dangers by referring to the image on the screen as our “avatar.” We are then confessing that we are placing ourselves into that game, creating a legal spiritual link.

How should we refer to an image that may take on either a two-dimensional form as an icon in Internet forums and other online communities or a three-dimensional form, as in games or virtual worlds. The term “picons” (personal icons) was used to identify a graphical representation of a user or the user's character or persona for some time, but has been pushed out of popularity by the word avatar. We need to bring this word back because it correctly identifies what is happening:
  • Personal - it is chosen by and may even look like us
  • Icon - a symbol or graphic representation
The words comprising “picon” correctly identify what is happening when we create electronic representations of ourselves. We do hope you will pray about coming onto agreement with the concept of avatars.

in the Courts of Heaven

Getting Grace & Mercy for Our Children

Praying for Our Children

Children are nearest and dearest to the hearts and minds of their parents. In a series of visions, the Lord has revealed to us what we can expect when we pray for our children, especially as we place them before the Throne of Grace. This revelation can be applied to others outside our family as well. It was the prayers and determination of one mother that helped bring his revelation to light.

At our Tea and Coffee meeting, Jalo asked why things were getting worse for her son, Quin, when he was at the Throne of Grace. I gave this example of a natural application:

Highest Level in the Courts of Heaven

Highest Level in the CoH

My family took a few days off during the celebration of our Independence Day, the 4th of July. Although I was gone from the ministry, God brought a major revelation about operating in the Courts of Heaven. Here is how the Lord made this revelation perfectly clear to me:

It was late when we arrived at Grandma’s cabin: the family was exhausted. The smell of cat urine came forcibly to my senses in two different spots, one downstairs and one upstairs. The Holy Spirit had used this type of discernment before, so I knew it meant demons were present.

Christians Can Have a Curse?

Christians & Curses

One of the most common questions asked about the Courts of Heaven is also one of the most prevalent items discovered in the Courts. How can a Christian have a curse? To understand the answer, you will need to know a simple, basic principle. Everything God created in the first chapter of the Bible, He did by speaking words.

And God said, “Let there be light:” and there was light. (Genesis 1:3 ASV)

And God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” (Genesis 1:6 ASV)

And God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear:” and it was so. (Genesis 1:9 ASV)

Seeing God Face to Face - 3rd Step of the Aaronic Blessing

Seeing God Face to Face - Step 3 Video

“And the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend… (Exodus 33:11)
Most people know that God spoke to Moses face to face. Did you know that this was God’s will for all His people, but because they had forgotten God’s ways, they were too afraid to do it:

Preparing for Intercession

Intercession Prep Meeting

When the Lord has a person on your heart, often this is a call to pray for that person. Christians refer to this as intercession: the act of intervening on behalf of another. There are many types of prayers for others. Preparation will be needed if the intercession prayer is for anything other than healing for someone who is critically ill or healing for someone who doesn’t yet know God. In these instances, the need is dire and there may not be time for preparation.

Holy Imagination & the Secret Place

Holy Imagination & the Secret Place

During our Tea & Coffee meeting, the topic came up: Should we be using our imagination, envisioning the Secret Place, Throne Room, Jesus, or Heaven to visit with the Lord by picturing the Secret Place, Throne Room, Jesus, or Heaven?

We had invited the Holy Spirit to lead the meeting, and I was shocked by what He revealed.

Teachings about using our “holy imagination” to enter Heaven are becoming prevalent in the Church. What is “holy imagination?” The word “holy” means separate, set apart, sanctified. Can our imagination be holy?

Resting in God to Enter the Secret Place

Resting in God

Rest seems to be an important topic in the New Testament: it is mentioned more than 75 times. I have found resting in God to be one of the most challenging parts of my Christian walk, but is crucial if we are to visit the Lord face to face in the Secret Place. I’m probably not alone in these difficulties because they are mentioned in the Bible:
“Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest...” (Hebrews 4:11 AKJV)
“Resting in God” sounds like it should be easy to do. Just sit back and relax. Yet here in Hebrews, it seems that it may be a challenge to do. Laboring to enter rest sounds like an oxymoron: the two things seem to contradict each other. This struggle begs us to ask:
  • What is resting in God?
  • What are the benefits of resting?
  • What can keep us from resting?

Higher Levels in the Courts

The Throne of Grace is a wonderful place to be. The attacks of the enemy are eased so that we can grow and learn from God. As you begin to grow in the knowledge of the Courts you may begin to wonder:
  • Are there levels to the Courts of Heaven?
  • What do we need to do to operate in the Courts with more authority?

Receiving MORE from the Courts

Receiving More Video

Each new revelation from God seems to be so effective as it begins, then it begins to degrade over time. Why is this? God is always the same, so why do things change?

We must find the answers to these questions now because the revelation of the Courts of Heaven is in danger of becoming ineffective; an "old wineskin." To understand why, we need to know what the Bible says about old wineskin. If you have not been immersed in the Christian culture, this term may be unfamiliar to you. What does it mean to be an “old wineskin?” Three out of the four accounts in the Bible record our Lord talking about this, so it must be important:

Trouble Receiving Grace & Mercy

Trouble with Grace & Mercy

After the Lord revealed how to appropriate the fullness of grace and mercy that His sacrifice provided, we saw immediate results as people began to be set free of everything from mental, emotional and physical healing, to demonic oppression they didn’t know was there until it was lifted. We also received messages from people who were still under a heavy attack from the enemy.
We sought the Lord as to why this was happening. Wasn’t His grace for everyone? The most common reasons were:
  • Eligibility for the Throne of Grace
  • Not confessing sin
  • Not renouncing binding agreements with the enemy
  • Not learning God’s ways
  • Not understanding grace and mercy

Interceding for Others

Interceding for Others

Our Lord has revealed how to appropriate the fullness of His grace and mercy for ourselves  (read that article CLICK HERE). Can we intercede for the ones we love so that they are free of the attacks of the enemy? Let’s look at what the Bible tells us.
According to Chapter 9 in the Book of Daniel and as we have discussed, he intercedes for his people and his nation. He did so with a heart that was grieved and sorrowful as he confessed that God had rightfully punished his people and his nation. He acknowledged the following in a broad, general way:
  • The sin being committed.
  • The ancestors’ sin.
  • The lack of repentance for the sin.
  • The lack of knowing God’s ways.
These are the necessary ingredients when interceding for someone for grace and mercy from God. We don’t need to confess each specific sin, for God knows them. When we pray for others, our prayer should have all of the above ingredients, but going into specifics is not always necessary.
