The last month had been a challenging one. During prayer, it seemed I had to fight to focus on the Lord. There was so much going on, so many world-changing events happening so soon, it was hard to still my thoughts. Every small open door seemed to bring attack after attack. I’d close one and have a few days of peace, only to have something else hit me.
When my husband suggested going hunting at the cabin, I thought I’d have extra prayer time to reconnect with the Lord while he went deer hunting. The remote location didn’t help to still my thoughts; I still struggled to see the Lord clearly.
A gentle nudge from the Holy Spirit led me to pray in the heavenly language in between singing praises and silent meditation. I did this for two days with no appreciable results. Then, on the third day after I prayed in the heavenly language, I found myself dancing with the Lord in the Secret Place.
Jesus was motionless. He appeared to be surrounded by something resembling foggy glass. As I continued praying in the heavenly language, golden cracks appeared. The fissures grew larger and larger until the substance surrounding the Lord shattered.
Immediately, I tested the vision by asking, “Do you confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh?” (1 John 4:2)
He replied, “Yes I do, it was Me, now come, I have something you need to see.”
As we ran across a grassy area, I asked, “Why were you so still?” I asked as we ran across a grassy area. “Why did I have to pray to break through to you?
“You have been on the battlefield, and were very dry,” Jesus explained.
This means the thick glass was a “dry spirit” that was preventing, wasn’t allowing me from interacting with the Lord. I was feeding my spirit by praying in the heavenly language.
About this time we reached the edge of a cliff. “My love, I cannot see very clearly. Can you help my vision?” I asked.
Jesus turned me toward Him and began combing my hair with His fingers as water was dumped over my head. I could feel my spirit receive the heavenly liquid, growing within me. When He was done, the Lord turned me back to look over the cliff. “Now, what do you see?”
I saw a beautiful vista. It was as picturesque as any heavenly vista I had ever seen: Hills strewn with trees and a valley with grass winding through them. The sun was rising at one end. As I told Jesus this He said, “Look closer.”
My vision zoomed in like a telescopic lens as I focused on the valley. A road ran down the center ending with a right turn. People traveled along the path with eager, sure strides: one person was carrying a big pack on his back.
In response to my unasked question Jesus explained, “A new day has dawned. Heaven is bringing in the harvest to supply God’s children for what is ahead.”
Looking back to the valley, the vision wavered and the scene shifted. At the right turn there was an angel dressed in a glimmering white garment. A man trudged along, carrying a large load. The man looked back over his shoulder, and a long tendril extended from the towering figure. The man looked forward again and continued trudging onward.
Startled by the scene, I looked to the Lord. “What was that all about?”
“That is what is happening on the Earth. The servants have been sent out to encourage the bride to bring in supplies to the storehouse so they can receive provision in the days ahead.”
It was quite startling to see the angels reach out with their thoughts to influence people, especially when it was clear they really were not enthusiastic about the direction they were going. When the story from the Book of Acts was mentioned, it brought about peace:
And suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared [standing beside him], and a light shone in the place where he was. And the angel gently smote Peter on the side and awakened him, saying, Get up quickly! And the chains fell off his hands. And the angel said to him, Tighten your belt and bind on your sandals. And he did so. And he said to him, Wrap your outer garment around you and follow me. (Acts 12:7-8 AKJV)
The angel actually hit Peter! This is one of many accounts of angels interacting in a strong way with mankind.
- An angel struck John the Baptist's father mute when he questioned naming him John. (Luke 1:20)
- An angel encouraged Joseph not to divorce Mary despite her pregnancy. (Matthew 1:20)
- An angel awoke Joseph up in a dream and told them to flee to Egypt. (Matthew 2:13)
- An angel freed the disciples from jail and instructed them to continue preaching in the temple. (Acts 5:19)
We are now entering a time of tribulation, just like they experienced in the Book of Acts. God will be moving strongly as the enemy rises in power. The Lord wants His bride focused on Him, not on the trouble happening in the World. During the live meeting, the Lord brought a familiar verse to help those struggling to focus on Him:
And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:18-19 AMPC)
This is what the Lord said in the vision: God will supply our needs through Jesus. However, this verse begins with a conjunction. Verse 18 also begins with a conjunction that joins two items together. We need to look at two scriptures before it to obtain the full understanding.
Not that I seek or am eager for [your] gift, but I do seek and am eager for the fruit which increases to your credit [the harvest of blessing that is accumulating to your account]. But I have [your full payment] and more; I have everything I need and am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent me. [They are the] fragrant odor of an offering and sacrifice which God welcomes and in which He delights. (Philippians 4:17-18 AMPC)
Paul was not asking for offerings from those who were receiving the message, though he knew it would bring them good provision in return. He had already received enough and even more than he needed. Paul was reassuring them that God delighted in the offering and would supply for their needs in return. This is the exact exchange the Lord revealed. We didn’t give the message because we need a “gift” from you. We were simply sharing what Heaven was preparing for the Bride of Christ.
Sometimes it isn’t a material need that we have. Often, it is a concern for our friends or family that weighs us down. If situations in our family life are tough, the trouble in the world can seem so much more difficult to deal with.
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 AMPC)
We may not know the reason our loved ones are resisting God’s will, but we need to rest assured, He has a plan. God is faithful and He loves your mother, father, husband, wife, or children even more than you do.
Focus your heart on the Lord. Rest in Him. Let Him direct your path and may His ministering spirits lead and guide you to prepare for what is to come!
