Names of God: RUAH JEHOVAH, JEHOVAH MAKADESH, JEHOVAH TSIDKENU

VIDEO: Ruah Jehovah , Jehovah Makadesh, Jehovah Tsidkenu

But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come on you: and you shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the Earth. (Acts 1:8 AKJV)

Right before our Lord ascended into Heaven, He promised His disciples that they would receive the Holy Spirit to empower them. Later in Acts, Paul demonstrated that the Holy Spirit is available to every believer who will devote their life to Jesus as the Lord, Owner, and Master.

There are several names that refer to God, in the Old Testament, that apply to the role of the Holy Spirit. Seeing where these names appear will help us to understand the Holy Spirit better.

RUAH JEHOVAH

And the Earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters. (Genesis 1:2 AKJV)

The Holy Spirit is mentioned for the first time in the second verse of Genesis. It is the Holy Spirit who moved upon the Earth when God spoke. Science has discovered that bonds of power hold subatomic particles together. They call them God Particles. We refer to it as the Holy Spirit.

And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest on him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD… (Isaiah 11:2 AKJV)

Isaiah prophesied the coming of the Messiah on whom the Spirit of God would rest. This describes the seven-fold attributes of the Holy Spirit, also known as the seven Spirits of God:

  1. Yahweh: All that God is, the Holy Spirit embodies.
  2. Wisdom
  3. Understanding
  4. Counsel, guidance, or purpose (leading you to your destiny)
  5. Strength or might
  6. Knowledge
  7. Fear or awe of God

Jesus was empowered in all of these ways. When the Holy Spirit dwells inside of us, He can empower us as well: He is our Counselor, our Guide, Teacher, and Friend. He is the one who reveals Jesus to us. Many of the attributes of the Holy Spirit are deeply connected to Jesus because the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Lord and rested upon Jesus without measure.

JEHOVAH MAKADESH

Speak you also to the children of Israel, saying, Truly My sabbaths you shall keep: for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I Am the LORD that does sanctify you. (Exodus 31:13 AKJV)

It is God who sanctifies us, but how does He do it?

Then said he, See, I come to do your will, O God. He takes away the first, that He may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (Hebrews 10:9-10 AKJV)

We are sanctified by our faith in Jesus’ sacrifice which establishes a new covenant between God and us. The first covenant with Israel is no longer effective because God sent His Son to establish the new covenant. How do we come into that relationship with God?

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it; That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word… (Ephesians 5:25-26 AKJV)

And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. (John 17:19 AKJV)

Sanctification is a continual process. We must look to the Word of God to be cleansed. Jesus is the Word, but we also have the Word of God to guide us so that we can better understand His ways.

Jesus is Truth just as the Word is Truth and Jesus is the Word. This is further evidence that we must continue learning from the Word of God so that we are well acquainted with the Truth.

However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come. He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall show it to you. (John 16:13-14 AKJV)

These things have I spoken to you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you. (John 14:25-26 AKJV)

The Holy Spirit became our Teacher after Jesus left. Jesus is the Word and the Truth by which we are sanctified, but it is through the power of the Holy Spirit that we know Jesus. Without the Holy Spirit, we cannot be sanctified.

JEHOVAH TSIDKENU (tsid-kay’-naw)

Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and He will reign wisely as King and will administer justice and righteousness in the land. In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. And this is His name by which He will be called: The LORD Our Righteousness. (Jeremiah 23:5-6 BSB)

For He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:21 AKJV)

Jeremiah prophesied about the Second Coming of Jesus. It is the only place that calls upon God as our righteousness. By referring to the Lord as the One through whom we are righteous,  Paul confirms that Jesus is the One who will return to rule and reign.

The day when Jesus will have a new name, “Yehovah Our Righteousness” has not yet arrived, but until then we are righteous or in right standing with God through Him. There is proof of our place in God’s Kingdom:

In Whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in Whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise… (Ephesians 1:13 AKJV)

And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed to the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4:30 AKJV)

The Greek word “sphragizō” (sfra gid’-zo) is used often in the New Testament and means to set a mark upon by the impress of a seal or a stamp. When we take Jesus as Lord we receive the Holy Spirit who is a stamp upon us marking us as belonging to the Lord. The Holy Spirit is proof of our right standing in the Kingdom of Heaven.

We are privileged to be so intimately connected with the Holy Spirit. Before Jesus the Spirit of the Lord could only be upon someone, now He is in us. Holy Spirit is our connection to Father and Son. We should learn what pleases Him and try not to grieve Him if we want Him to be more active in our lives.

The core courses (101-401) in the Courts of Heaven Academy, a free online school, will show you what blocks Christians from hearing from the Holy Spirit most often. The 501 course is about strengthening your relationship to Father, Spirit, and Son so that you can hear more and more! I hope you will begin the journey to receive more from God soon.

If you have done the following and still cannot connect to the Lord or are feeling distant from the Father, then it is time to schedule an appointment with us:

  1. Completed the 301 course to remove blockages and learn about Soul Healing
  2. Spent time worshiping the Lord
  3. Spent time in prayer: Talking to God then listening to Him

We do not want to take the place of the Holy Spirit for you, but we do want to help you connect with Him. If you are experiencing difficulties, and have completed the 301 course, you can schedule a Soul Healing. Please make sure to mention what is happening during prayer or worship!

Many people think of boot camp as a place you train for combat. Any veteran will tell you that basic training is about three things:

  • Knowing what weapons are available
  • Learning how to use those weapons
  • Receiving orders and following them
Believer’s Boot Camp series is a collection of books which teach us how to hear more clearly from God with the goal to ready ourselves for a face-to-face meeting with our Lord, Jesus. The series reveals the “weapons and tools” God has given us and how to use them, so we can bring God’s kingdom to Earth. Each book in the series focuses on a single topic to clearly define one tool or weapon from our Heavenly Father.

The series uses the Word of God to reveal all that He has given us through Jesus. The Bible is our instruction manual and the Holy Spirit is our guide to understanding it.

Why Doesn't God Speak to Me?

Believers’ Boot Camp, Volume 1

Eager hearts cry out, hoping for a single word to confirm that He hears us. Yet, many times the only sound is silence. Over the years I have heard several reasons why God speaks to some and not to others. One night, as I tossed and turned, I brought each of these reasons before the Lord, stating why each of them did not line up with who I thought He was.

Words rose from my soul, pleading for Him to reveal why He has remained silent when a single word from Him would mean so much to so many. For the next few hours, God used things I learned about years ago and things I had just discovered to show why He talks to some and why He doesn’t, and in demonstrative ways.

In His grace, He also showed me how people could hear more from Him. Basic instructions on how to hear more from God and how to be led by Him are included in this book. Thank you for taking time to consider the answers I received and share with you now.

Keys to Authority for Every Believer

Believers’ Boot Camp, Volume 2

There is untapped power that is easy for every Christian to access in the form of authority. The keys to this authority will unlock weapons we can use to free ourselves from the attacks of the enemy. We must be intimately aware of the bounds and limitations of our weapon if they are to be used effectively.

Find out about your authority:
  • Why you need it.
  • Where it comes from.
  • What you can do with it.
  • How to get more.

Destroying Curses in the Courts of Heaven

Believers’ Boot Camp, Volume 3

Our rights to appear in the Courts of Heaven have been greatly undervalued. The missing key to our authority is here. Jesus has provided the access and the Bible shows us the court procedures. When we learn to operate in our rightful place as children of the Most High, the enemy will be defeated and we will see the victory we have prayed for.

The death of Jesus freed us from the curse of the law. However, we must declare this freedom just as we must make a declaration for our salvation.

  • Can curses be passed to our children?
  • What are signs of a curse?
  • How do you get rid of one?
Every answer is backed by scripture. Come and find out how easy it is to be free!

Roadmap to Heaven

Believers’ Boot Camp, Volume 4

As I meditated and sought the Lord, a vision overcame me. A “Roadmap to Heaven” was deposited into my soul. We are entering a season of unparalleled access to Heaven. Jesus is calling all who are His to visit with Him in the Secret Place of the Most High.

  • What is the Secret Place?
  • How do we enter?
  • What will we find there?

The Bible holds the answers, the mystery has been revealed. As you use the map given in this book to journey to the Secret Place, discover your destiny and find the gifts the Holy Spirit will bring along the way.
