Waves Breaking over Barriers South of San Francisco

Charismatic Witchcraft & Witchcraft Prayers

Breaking Over the Barriers

It was because you, the Levites, did not bring it up the first time that the Lord our God broke out in anger against us. We did not inquire of him about how to do it in the prescribed way.” (1 Chronicles 15:13 AMPC)

Israel’s desire was to have the Ark of the Covenant in Jerusalem. However, when they went to retrieve it, they placed it on a cart instead of having the Levites carry it on poles. They didn’t worship Him in the way He had shown them and because of that, one man died as the Lord “broke out” against them.

The Lord told me two things:

  1. “You need to turn your back on churches under the influence of Jezebel”
  2. “The waves south of San Francisco will break over the barriers.”
When the waves break over those barriers, it is a confirming sign. I sought Him and asked why San Francisco?

San means Saint, Francisco is Francis. The city was named after Saint Francis. Jesus appeared to Francis of Assisi in the 13th century and said, “Francis, Francis, go and repair My house which, as you can see, is falling into ruins.” He thought this meant he needed to repair the church where he was praying. Enthusiastic about the commission, Francis sold some cloth from his father's store to give the money to the priest for this purpose. The priest refused to accept the “ill-gotten gains” and Francis’ father took him to court because of theft of his possessions. For many years, Francis was destitute.

Our Heavenly Father is tired of us selling what belongs to Him. The worship industry is included in this coming judgment from the Courts of Heaven. Churches have been operating according to the ways of the world and now He is sending a correction.

This is a sign to confirm that the spirit that is not from Him had infiltrated churches. He expects us to turn our backs on churches that are selling what rightfully belongs to Him unless we want to be caught in the judgment coming from Heaven.

The change in His church can be clearly seen as we examine how the enemy has invaded the church with charismatic witchcraft and witchcraft prayers.

What is Charismatic Witchcraft

Charismatic means to exercise a compelling charm which inspires devotion in others. This can be hard to distinguish from the anointing of God which draws people to a leader. The way to discern between the two is by their actions: All Christian leaders should continually point to God as the source AND teach you how to connect with Him directly. Some leaders will unwittingly use a form of witchcraft to keep the focus on themselves rather than God.

The Bible uses the word kesheph (keh-shef) for sorcery and witchcraft. The best New Testament example of what leads us into operating in witchcraft is Simon the sorcerer.

But there was a man named Simon, who had formerly practiced magic arts in the city to the utter amazement of the Samaritan nation, claiming that he himself was an extraordinary and distinguished person. They all paid earnest attention to him, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is that exhibition of the power of God which is called great (intense). (Acts 8:9-10 AMPC)

When acts are performed to impress others, man gets the glory instead of God. This is the purpose of sorcery and witchcraft. It gives the performer control and prestige. Simon claimed that he was extraordinary and distinguished - he claimed a special place for himself.

For I say, through the grace given to me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith. (Romans 12:3 AKJV)

Paul continues to explain that each should work as a part of the body, according to the faith given to us. Witchcraft begins as we begin to think more of ourselves than we should because of the position God has called us to. We must always remember that it is the Holy Spirit ministering to others through us: we must be vigilant concerning where the honor is due. Without the Lord, we are nothing. It is He alone, that provides all the gifts and talents we are using. He created us, He calls us, He equips us.

When Philip began baptizing people, Simon believed in God and was baptised, this means he was a Christian so what followed applies to us. Later, Peter and John arrived to impart the Holy Spirit to those who had accepted Jesus. Simon wanted this power. He acted according to man’s way, as he always had: he offered to pay them for the ability to pray for others to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The disciples’ answer was swift and firm:

But Peter said to him, Destruction overtake your money and you, because you imagined you could obtain the [free] gift of God with money! (Acts 8:20 AMPC)

We cannot buy gifts of God, we cannot buy a blessing or provision. Anyone who says “sow such and such seed and receive this or that” is no better than Simon. If you have sought man for the gifts of God and thought in your heart to give in order to receive, you have done wrong. Your finances and your life may be under attack because of it.

So repent of this depravity and wickedness of yours and pray to the Lord that, if possible, this contriving thought and purpose of your heart may be removed and disregarded and forgiven you. (Acts 8:22 AMPC)

The purpose of Simon’s heart was clear. Not only was he trying to buy the gifts of God, but he would then surely seek to sell them and become great once more by having the ability to impart the Holy Spirit to others. He had been making a profit off of sorcery and now he sought to have access to the gifts of the Spirit for the same purpose.

When we sell books or music that have been anointed or imparted to us by the Holy Spirit, we are selling what belongs to the Father as Simon intended to do. If we have sought to buy the gifts of God or tried to use them for the influence we can gain through Him, we must turn from these actions and know that they are wrong in order to escape the punishment for the trespass.

Witchcraft in Action

And they were attentive and made much of him, because for a long time he had amazed and bewildered and dazzled them with his skill in magic arts. (Acts 8:11 AMPC)

Witchcraft makes others attentive to us, it keeps the focus on us which allows us to control and influence others. Charismatic witchcraft is when prayer and the gifts of the Spirit are used for the purpose of controlling and influencing others or to profit us.

A leader will dazzle and amaze people to make them loyal to their ministry instead of helping them to become free of the enemy and develop a closer relationship with God. The goal of every Godly teacher should be to help you connect and receive from God yourself, not to be in control of the lives and relationships of others - including our relationship with God. The body of Christ has many “Simons” who seek to profit from the free gifts of God: most don’t even know that is what they are doing.

God’s way is to freely give whatever you have received from Him, then when the recipient receives something from God, they give back to acknowledge Him (Matthew 10:8-10). This keeps the focus on our Father. If the recipient doesn’t receive something of spiritual value, then God is not with us, we have heard wrong and stepped out where He is not and our endeavor will fail. When we charge for the things of God, it is saying:

I am NOT trusting that you will hear from God and give back to acknowledge Him.
I am NOT sure God will provide for my needs, so I am making sure my costs are covered.
I am NOT willing to operate in God’s ways and freely give what I have received from God.

Whether it is wisdom from God in a teaching, prayer or anointed worship, what God has freely given us should never “cost” us money. We should never “buy” the things of God. The church has been on a downward spiral for many years because we are selling what should not be sold. It began in small ways as we became focused on recovering what we have invested into products by charging for:

     “anointed” oil
     prayer cloths
messages and teachings (in books or seats in meetings)
     worship music

If Christian leaders truly trusted that God had told them to anoint oil, distribute prayer cloths or create books, they would do as He has instructed in His Word and give them away for free. Once people received the items and God moved upon them, then those who had received would give back to acknowledge Him. See how this gives more glory to God and less to man? Now we have even begun charging for the most basic necessities: prayer.

The Word tells us that Satan pushed David into “counting” the men of Israel to see how great his army was so he could be reassured of Israel's strength. This was God’s response:

So Gad came to David and told him and said, “Shall seven years of famine come to your land? Or will you flee three months before your pursuing enemies? Or do you prefer three days of pestilence in your land?” (2 Samuel 24:13 AKJV)

Because David counted on his own strength instead of God’s, disaster struck Israel. When we require a “donation” or a “seed” it is the same as charging. We do this because we have invested in releasing what God has given us. We want to make sure we recoup our costs. However, if God really told us to do it, we should have faith that He will provide. God will show up and those who receive will give back in response to finding Him.

Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness? (Romans 6:16 AKJV)

Satan was behind David counting the men of Israel. He is behind charging for the things of God. There is grace for a while, but when we fail to turn from our wrong actions, then Satan’s influence becomes stronger. This is what has happened in the church and why Jezebel has been able to take control of worship!

ANYTHING we have received from God or anointed by Him should be freely given. If we expect God to be there, it must be FREE. Music does cost to produce, just like books and meetings have an upfront cost. If you are sure God is calling you to create and distribute worship music, it needs to be done according to His ways.

Witchcraft Prayers

Operating in witchcraft, the practitioner uses words to get what they want. By chanting, bargaining or sacrificing to demons, the focus is on the results: what we want to see happen. A leader operating in charismatic witchcraft will often use witchcraft prayers. You can easily identify these types of prayers by the formula they use.

The word of God is quoted to get the results they want or feel God is telling them to get, not to honor or glorify God. There is no repentance or change of behavior required. It is all about speaking the Word of God like a magic spell. That is not what the Bible says to do.

Truly I say to you, Whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. (Matthew 18:18 AKJV)

This scripture is often quoted to say that we have the ability to bind and loose whatever is coming against us, or whatever is troubling our country. We need to look at the Amplified Version to see the proper translation:

Truly I tell you, whatever you forbid and declare to be improper and unlawful on earth must be what is already forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit and declare proper and lawful on earth must be what is already permitted in heaven. (Matthew 18:18 AMPC)

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven. (Matthew 16:19 AMPC)

According to Charles B. Williams, The New Testament: A Translation: “The perfect passive participle, here referring to a state of having been already forbidden [or permitted].” This is the proper way to translate the participles in both of the verses. It also lines up with what the Lord said:

Then answered Jesus and said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do: for what things soever he does, these also does the Son likewise.” (John 5:19 AKJV)

Jesus is our example. We must only do what we see the Father doing. We bind and loose what is already bound and loosed in Heaven.

And in that day you shall ask me nothing. Truly, truly, I say to you, Whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. (John 16:23 AKJV)

Our Lord told us He would give us whatever we ask in His name. The is the concluding statement of a long discussion. We need to place this verse with what He said about asking just before He spoke about receiving:

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you. (John 15:7 AKJV)

We must abide in the Lord in order to know what to ask. We know that we are in Him when we are abiding in His words: He is the Word of God. We need to look to what the Bible tells us of God and His ways and remain in those ways. Just like when David transported the Ark, we must carefully examine the established ways of God. They got pretty far with the Ark before operating outside of those ways had dire consequences,  but eventually God “broke out against them.”

Our time is up. God is saying the consequences are right on the horizon. A wave breaking over the barriers is the sign to look for.

Example of Witchcraft Prayers

A church shared a live broadcast of what they called a “prophetic act” which they felt God was commanding them to do. They quoted a line from “Lord of the Rings” and used a staff as the wizard had done to declare, “The spirit of racism ‘shall not pass’ in America” as they attempted to bind the principality of racism over our nation. Is this faith or a witchcraft prayer?

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness… (2 Timothy 3:16 AKJV)

What the disciples were referring to as scripture is what we call the Old Testament. We should look there to see if this action is according to God’s ways. Throughout the Old Testament, when His people didn’t seek only Him, when they submitted to other gods, life would go very badly for them. They experienced:

  1. Famine (2 Samuel 21:1)
  2. War and Captivity (1 Kings 8:46, 2 Kings 24:16 1 Chronicles 9:1)
  3. Revolt Against Authority (2 Samuel 21)

No matter what disaster was coming against the land, there was only one solution. They had to turn from the sin they had committed and seek God. When God’s people and their land were being attacked and suffering, King Asa (awe-sah) did what was good in God’s eyes and commanded the country to do likewise:

And commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment. (2 Chronicles 14:4 AKJV)

Because the people turned back to God, Judah experienced peace and prosperity. When the temple in Jerusalem was dedicated we see what it takes to remove judgement from God:

… because they have sinned against you; if they pray toward this place, and confess your name, and turn from their sin, when you afflict them… (1 Kings 8:35 AKJV)

We are God’s temple, so we no longer have to pray in His temple or towards it. However, we do need to turn from our sin and seek God. We find this advice in the New Testament:

Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness? (Romans 6:16 AKJV)

All things are lawful to me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. (1 Corinthians 6:12 AKJV)

When we sin we are placing ourselves in the hands of the enemy in this lifetime. It doesn't mean we lose our righteousness before God. Our right-standing in the Kingdom of Heaven before God is based on accepting Jesus as Lord. However, Sin may mean that we are enslaved or held captive by the enemy in this life. If we want to be free of the attacks of the enemy, then we must remove the sin that is giving Satan access to us.

This is why we cannot simply declare and decree our freedom or the nation's freedom from an attack. We must seek to find out why the enemy is attacking us. After turning from the sin we can then appropriate the blood of Jesus which has paid the price for all our sins. Once the blood removes that sin, the access of the enemy is removed. This is God’s way.

The “you shall not pass” prayer to come against racism didn’t work. Racism still exists. It was a witchcraft prayer and nothing more than charismatic witchcraft intended to make the leaders look powerful. It was a show of power designed to dazzle and bring glory to man, not God.

When you read the Old Testament, God’s ways become very clear. There are zero examples in the scripture of God sending apostles or prophets to simply declare and decree prosperity, healing, or blessing. It was always linked to:

a benefit for turning back from sin and back to God and His ways
because they had remained in God’s ways and would now receive His goodness

Declaring and decreeing prosperity, healing or blessing without connecting it to sin or right behavior is not according to scripture.

Cleaning House

If someone has led you in a prayer or prayed a witchcraft prayer over you, it is easy to remove any spiritual ties or wrong spirits that moved into your life from those actions. When the Holy Spirit brings a situation to mind, simply say something like this:

I confess that I came into wrong agreement in prayer with [name the person or ministry]. Heavenly Father, I want to be obedient to you and your ways. I come out of agreement with that prayer.  I plead the blood of Jesus over the prayer that was not from the Holy Spirit.

I also wish to be holy unto You as You are holy, so I sever with the sword of the spirit any ties to [name of person] and myself and I ask that you strengthen the ties to You, Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit.

You should do the same type of prayer if you joined in with charismatic witchcraft in any way by tithing, giving offerings, paying for seats or saying amen to what they were doing. The blood of Jesus has paid the price for our freedom, we just need to come out of agreement with the sin and appropriate His blood.

Witchcraft Worship

When I received the revelation from God that books with messages from Him or which were anointed by Him had to be free, I was asked if this applied to music. All I could say was “I haven’t heard anything about worship, but if you expect it to be anointed by Him, it must be free.” Now the Lord has given a definite answer.

But seek not [the golden calf at] Bethel nor enter into [idolatrous] Gilgal, and pass not over to [the idols of] Beersheba; for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity and exile, and Bethel [house of God] shall become Beth-aven [house of vanity, emptiness, falsity, and futility] and come to nothing. (Amos 5:5 AMPC)

Bethel had made a golden calf for people to worship because they had separated from Israel. They intended to worship God, but it wasn’t in the way He told them to do it. They did this with what would seem to be very reasonable intentions.

They wanted to remain separate and in control of their people.
God required His people to worship at His temple where the Ark was in Jerusalem.
The leaders wanted to keep people from going to worship at the temple and being influenced by another leader.

Witchcraft is about controlling others. As Christians we should trust that we are all one family in God and He is in control and will bring us what we need.

It began with copyrights on songs. Who are we to claim ownership and control over the words brought to us by the Holy Spirit?

This enabled us to sell “worship CDs” because they are “anointed.” Why is someone’s worship anointed, is it their talent or is it God’s Spirit flowing through them that makes it good? Are we not seeking to buy and sell the free gifts of God, His anointing?

The worship industry has now gone the way of the world. Contracts are being used to claim rights to worship singers and groups to add them to their “label.” Entities in the worship industry retains rights over the music which cannot be used unless you pay a licensing fee. How is this God’s way? What happened to freely you have received, freely give?

The Levites had a praise team who were supported in their living by the temple. (1 Chronicles 16:4) Worship teams and leaders should receive an income from the church where they are ministering so they can be devoted to God’s work. Their music should be freely given and we should give back if we receive from God through their music. Just like David who had to count the men in Israel, lack of trust in God has caused worship to be commercialized for profit.

The most controlling spirit is Jezebel (that is another article). God has said to turn your back on Jezebel who seeks to control and profit from worship. When the waves break over the barriers south of San Francisco, it is a sign from Him: step away from all churches who are trying to control His anointing and His flow through worship!

True Worship

The mishandling of worship is creating an attitude that is distorting what worship is all about!

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. (Matthew 12:35 AKJV)

Worship connects our heart with God, and if we are leading worship, with the audience as well. Those who are involved in worship need to guard their heart. Their focus should be on God and God alone. Mammon, or money should not be a factor. We need to get back to the basics of the truth about praising God:

And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13 AKJV)

But if from there you shall seek the LORD your God, you shall find him, if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. (Deuteronomy 4:29 AKJV)

This is how we should worship. It is a seeking of God, focusing on Him because of His goodness. It isn’t about the music or the singer, it is about our heart! It isn’t about getting to the Secret Place, a miracle, a healing or provision, it is about honoring the One who sent His son: it is about glorifying Jesus. All of these things happen in His presence, but seek Him, not the blessings He brings.

The Lord has said that this first correction will be gentle. There shouldn’t be little to no loss of life. However, should we not turn back to His ways, the signs which follow will be increasing severe. Remember the warning God has given us:

I then heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out from her, my people, so that you may not share in her sins, neither participate in her plagues. (Revelation 18:4 AMPC)

In the future, be ready to flee when God sends a warning of impending judgment.

Roadmap to Heaven
Destroying Curses
in the Courts of Heaven

Many people think of boot camp as a place you train for combat. Any veteran will tell you that basic training is about three things:
  • Knowing what weapons are available
  • Learning how to use those weapons
  • Receiving orders and following them
Believer’s Boot Camp series is a collection of books which teach us how to hear more clearly from God with the goal to ready ourselves for a face-to-face meeting with our Lord, Jesus. The series reveals the “weapons and tools” God has given us and how to use them, so we can bring God’s kingdom to Earth. Each book in the series focuses on a single topic to clearly define one tool or weapon from our Heavenly Father.

The series uses the Word of God to reveal all that He has given us through Jesus. The Bible is our instruction manual and the Holy Spirit is our guide to understanding it.

Volume 1: Why Doesn't God Speak to Me?

Eager hearts cry out, hoping for a single word to confirm that He hears us. Yet, many times the only sound is silence. Over the years I have heard several reasons why God speaks to some and not to others. One night, as I tossed and turned, I brought each of these reasons before the Lord, stating why each of them did not line up with who I thought He was.

Words rose from my soul, pleading for Him to reveal why He has remained silent when a single word from Him would mean so much to so many. For the next few hours, God used things I learned about years ago and things I had just discovered to show why He talks to some and why He doesn’t, and in demonstrative ways.

In His grace, He also showed me how people could hear more from Him. Basic instructions on how to hear more from God and how to be led by Him are included in this book. Thank you for taking time to consider the answers I received and share with you now.

Keys to Authority for Every Believer

There is untapped power that is easy for every Christian to access in the form of authority. The keys to this authority will unlock weapons we can use to free ourselves from the attacks of the enemy. We must be intimately aware of the bounds and limitations of our weapon if they are to be used effectively.

Find out about your authority:
  • Why you need it.
  • Where it comes from.
  • What you can do with it.
  • How to get more.
