VIDEO: Receiving Relief from Attacks
To remove attacks upon our health, mind, and finances, we must first know why attacks can come upon us. Not all health and financial issues are attacks, but many are. Some attacks are due to sin.
And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither has this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. (John: 9:1-3 AKJV)
This particular case of blindness wasn’t due to sin, however, Jesus’ reply makes it clear that some attacks on our health are from sin. This begs the question, what exactly is sin and why does it allow attacks upon us?
Sin began with Lucifer, probably the most beautiful and powerful of the angels. Not content with his position, he desired to be “as God” to others, and that was his downfall, the beginning of sin (Isaiah 14:12-15). The Arch Angel was renamed Satan, which literally translates as “adversary” in the Old Testament and “accuser” in the New Testament. He brought sin to the human race in the Garden of Eden, where he tempted Adam and Eve with the same enticement, “you shall be like God” if you eat the forbidden fruit (Genesis 3).
True to the name, the Father of Lies, the result of eating the fruit was to make them more like Satan! They would now participate in both good and evil. Our God only does good.
The sins that would allow the enemy to attack us are listed in the Ten Commandments. However, through Jesus, the Holy Spirit can guide us into deeper wisdom concerning sin which is really, simply stated, rebelling against God. When we sin it creates a separation between us and God:
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened at all, that it cannot save, nor His ear dull with deafness, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. (Isaiah 59:1-2 AMPC)
If you are under an attack and have called out to God, it may be because a particular sin is standing between you and God. There is a way to remove the blockage and receive relief from attacks through God’s Son, Jesus. As He began His ministry on Earth, He read aloud the prophecy of Isaiah.
The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity], To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound]. (Luke 4:18-19 AMPC)
The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10 AKJV)
Jesus came to bring health and freedom: Being a Christian should bring an abundant life. However, many Christians are suffering with their health or finances as much as, or more than the rest of the world. How do we access the provisions we have heard about? We must be aware that we have an enemy who opposes us and tries to keep us from understanding how to be free:
But even if our Gospel (the glad tidings) also be hidden (obscured and covered up with a veil that hinders the knowledge of God), it is hidden [only] to those who are perishing and obscured [only] to those who are spiritually dying and veiled [only] to those who are lost. For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4 AMPC)
Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world comes, and has nothing in me. (John 14:30 AKJV)
Satan is referred to as the “god of this world” or the “prince of this world.” He tries to blind the eyes of mankind and keep us from the knowledge of the only true God. Any spirit who claims to be a god, other than the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel), is aligned with Satan, trying to subjugate mankind.
How are you fallen from Heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how are you cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations! For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into Heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also on the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. (Isaiah 14:12-14 AKJV)
From the beginning of time, Satan has had a plan to rule as only God should. Jesus provided a way for those not born Jewish to be removed from Satan’s power, the kingdom of darkness, and be placed into God’s Kingdom which many refer to as Heaven, but it is really the Kingdom of Heaven.
Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s holy people) in the Light. [The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins. (Colossians 1:12-14 AMPC)
Do you not know that if you continually surrender yourselves to anyone to do his will, you are the slaves of him whom you obey, whether that be to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience which leads to righteousness (right doing and right standing with God)? (Romans 6:16 AMPC)
Whenever we participate in Satan’s kingdom, he is still able to afflict us here on Earth. Before we are Christians we are part of the kingdom of darkness and he has greater access to us. But our Heavenly Father has not deserted us! A great victory was achieved when Jesus shed His blood by hanging on the cross, He paid the price for our sins so that we could be moved from Satan’s kingdom of darkness to God’s kingdom.
Heaven isn’t someplace where angels play harps on clouds, it is in another realm, a spirit realm, with rules and a government. What we do in this life allows the spiritual realm to influence us. We will be influenced by one or the other: Satan’s kingdom of darkness or Jesus’ Kingdom in Heaven where He is the King of kings and Lord of lords.
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. (Revelation 17:14 AKJV)
To receive the benefits of salvation and remove the attacks of the enemy, we must know that Jesus is King and our Lord. The word lord means “owner.” The landlord is he who governs or owns the land. When we take Jesus as Lord, He is our Master, our Owner. And we MUST take Him as Lord to be saved:
That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. (Romans 10:9-10 AKJV)
This scripture makes it clear that Jesus must be your Lord to receive salvation. In ancient times, all knew what calling someone “lord” meant. In our modern age, we have forgotten that lords rule over people. They are his property and the lord protects them. The disciples referred to themselves as “bondservants.”
Paul and Timothy, bond servants of Christ Jesus (the Messiah), to all the saints (God’s consecrated people) in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the bishops (overseers) and deacons (assistants)... (Philippians 1:1 AMPC)
A bondservant was someone who sold themselves into slavery to pay a debt they couldn’t pay. Jesus paid the price for our sins that we could not. In obedience to His Father, God, He took the punishment for your sins upon Himself. Is there any crime that deserves more punishment than the horrendous torture and death upon the cross? Perhaps you were told that salvation was a “free gift from God.” Let’s look at those scriptures:
For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9 AKJV)
It is through your faith in Jesus as the Son of God and your Lord, whom you have never seen in the flesh that you are saved. It is a “free gift” because you cannot earn salvation by working for it you must only believe in Him.
Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives. [All] are justified and made upright and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by His grace (His unmerited favor and mercy), through the redemption which is [provided] in Christ Jesus… (Romans 3:23-24 AMPC)
It is our justification, our right standing (righteousness) that is freely given because we believe in Jesus. That is what is free. The Bible never says that nothing is expected of us once we receive salvation. Actually, it says quite the opposite.
Yes, a man may say, You have faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son on the altar? See you how faith worked with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? (James 2:18-22 AKJV)
When you realize that without the tremendous sacrifice of Jesus, you would most likely be headed to eternal suffering, the faith you have in Him should cause you to want to DO something.
- If you do not know about God raising Jesus from the dead, and why that is absolutely true, please schedule an appointment on the Online Christian Church website for “Help for Non-Christians” so that we can go through that with you.
When you became a Christian, did you confess Jesus as Lord and accept the price He paid for any wrong you have done? Did you realize that He has bought and paid for you? Did you know that you had a Lord and you needed to follow through with that? If you are ready to accept the payment for your sins let’s do that right now so that you can begin receiving the benefits of having Jesus as your Lord.
You must know in your heart that God raised Him from the dead then simply confess out loud:
“Jesus, I accept the price you paid for my sins. You are my Lord, my Master, my Owner. Teach me the ways of my new Kingdom.”
Now that Jesus is your Lord, you have been transferred into His kingdom. When you take Jesus as Lord, you are eligible for the first and best gift: the Holy Spirit.
If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever… (John 14:15-16 AKJV)
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you. (John 14:26 AKJV)
When we take Jesus as Lord, we should “love” Him. Realizing that He suffered and died so that we could be part of God’s Kingdom, should cause us to love Him. We show that love by being willing to obey Him, to learn about Him and what He expects of us. If you are willing to do that, you are eligible to receive the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. It is He who teaches about the Kingdom of Heaven so that we can remove the attacks of the enemy.
If you have not received the Holy Spirit, nor been baptized in water, please contact us through a Let’s Chat appointment on our website.
Once you have received the Holy Spirit, He will begin teaching you and then you are ready to begin the journey to freedom.
Three Steps to Removing Attacks
Once you have covered the basics, and become part of the Kingdom of Heaven, there are three critical steps to removing attacks of the enemy. You must:
- Confess your sins which gave the enemy access to you
- Be willing to turn from the sin
- Apply the blood of Jesus as payment for the sin
All three of these are necessary to remove the enemy from our lives and receive healing and breakthrough. Let’s look at each one so that they can be done with faith which comes from seeing it within the Word of God.
Confessing Your Sin
To remove attacks of the enemy and receive provision from our God, we must be willing to remove sin. The first step is the most important of all. Without it, any relief you receive may be only temporary.
All throughout the New Testament, Christians are urged to turn from their sins. One verse, in particular, leads many to think that merely saying that they are sorry for their sins is enough. Let’s take a closer look at this scripture:
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 ESV)
The Greek word homologeĊ is translated “confess,” and it means much more than just stating that we have done wrong. It means to see it the way the other person does, in this case, God. It is not only saying we were wrong but actually agreeing fully with God about how He sees it. When we confess Jesus as Lord, we see Him as our Master, and we are His servant. When we learn that we are not acting according to God’s ways, we must confess that sin, seeing it the way He does. This allows the sin to be blotted out by the blood and erased for good.
We need to see sin the way God does, as detestable. For me, this means thinking of sin like a pile of dog poop. It is something we want to avoid walking into at all costs. In fact, we will go out of our way not to step in it. If we confess sin and continue to walk in that sin every day thereafter, then we have made a false confession. We also don’t really believe that the sin we have committed is all that bad.
Turning from Sin
Many people confuse confessing with repenting when they talk to God. Confessing is seeing it the way God does. The word repent literally means to turn and go the other way. We will naturally repent as we try our best to never repeat the sin again because it is detestable to us. John explains this fact better than anyone else:
You know that He appeared in visible form and became Man to take away [upon Himself] sins, and in Him there is no sin [essentially and forever]. No one who abides in Him [who lives and remains in communion with and in obedience to Him—deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] commits (practices) sin. No one who [habitually] sins has either seen or known Him [recognized, perceived, or understood Him, or has had an experiential acquaintance with Him]. Boys (lads), let no one deceive and lead you astray. He who practices righteousness [who is upright, conforming to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action, living a consistently conscientious life] is righteous, even as He is righteous. [But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].
No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, for God’s nature abides in him [His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God. By this it is made clear who take their nature from God and are His children and who take their nature from the devil and are his children: no one who does not practice righteousness [who does not conform to God’s will in purpose, thought, and action] is of God; neither is anyone who does not love his brother (his fellow believer in Christ). (1 John 3:5-10 AMPC)
It cannot be said more plainly than this. If you are not willing to turn from sin, then have you really accepted Jesus as your Lord? Does He own you or not? Are you willing to do it His way and live by the rules of your new Kingdom?
Healing from sickness or disease may come when believers are gathered together and worship God because His presence is there. One of the gifts of the Spirit is healing after all. However, research shows that 95% of people healed at tent crusades in the 1950s-80s, even those coming out of wheelchairs, did not retain their healing for long. They lost the healing within weeks, months, or a year later.
Afterward, when Jesus found him in the temple, He said to him, See, you are well! Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you. (John 5:14 AMPC)
When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it roams through waterless places in search [of a place] of rest (release, refreshment, ease); and finding none it says, I will go back to my house from which I came. And when it arrives, it finds [the place] swept and put in order and furnished and decorated. And it goes and brings other spirits, seven [of them], more evil than itself, and they enter in, settle down, and dwell there; and the last state of that person is worse than the first. (Luke 11:24-26 AMPC)
Jesus healed someone and then, later, cautioned him about returning to that sin. When we continue in a sin, we are giving the enemy a place in our lives. We must stop sinning to remain free of the attacks. Furthermore, if we do not fill our lives with the Lord when we are set free, the enemy may return and the situation will be worse than ever!
We have found that attacks of the enemy early in the lives of some may prevent them from leaving some sin behind. The free classes at the Online Christian Church (OCC) will help you understand some of the causes for this.
The Blood of Jesus
The phrase “plead the blood of Jesus” has been around for a long time. For decades, many in the body of Christ have embraced the revelation that this is not “begging” for God to do something but appropriating all that Jesus has done through the shedding of His blood. The word “plead” is a legal term. Instead of entering a “plea” of guilty or not guilty before the just and righteous Judge of Heaven and Earth, you are saying that you are guilty but the blood of Jesus has paid the price for your sin.
And He [that same Jesus Himself] is the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins, and not for ours alone but also for [the sins of] the whole world. (1 John 2:2 AMPC)
The Word of God is clear. Jesus’ blood paid the price for our sins. Only by removing sin from our life and seeing it the way God does will we be in right standing with the Kingdom of God, so that all His promises can come into our lives. We must look to a couple of verses before this to find out how to obtain this promise.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleans us from all sin. (1 John 1:7 AKJV)
Take note that this is about walking in the light, which means God reveals things by shedding light or understanding upon it. This is where we are supposed to be. Sin is darkness. So, if God reveals sin in our lives, we must walk away from that and into the light. Praise be to God that Jesus paid the price for that sin! We can “plead” that the blood has paid the price to remove that sin from our lives once we turn from it!
These are the basics you need to know to remove attacks from your life. Jesus has done the hard part: He paid the price for the sin. All we must do is begin learning about our new Kingdom and what our Lord expects of us. There are awesome benefits to being part of the Kingdom of Heaven. Are you ready to learn how to receive them?

Believer’s Boot Camp series is a collection of books which teach us how to hear more clearly from God with the goal to ready ourselves for a face-to-face meeting with our Lord, Jesus. The series reveals the “weapons and tools” God has given us and how to use them, so we can bring God’s kingdom to Earth. Each book in the series focuses on a single topic to clearly define one tool or weapon from our Heavenly Father.
The series uses the Word of God to reveal all that He has given us through Jesus. The Bible is our instruction manual and the Holy Spirit is our guide to understanding it.

Why Doesn't God Speak to Me?
Eager hearts cry out, hoping for a single word to confirm that He hears us. Yet, many times the only sound is silence. Over the years I have heard several reasons why God speaks to some and not to others. One night, as I tossed and turned, I brought each of these reasons before the Lord, stating why each of them did not line up with who I thought He was.
Words rose from my soul, pleading for Him to reveal why He has remained silent when a single word from Him would mean so much to so many. For the next few hours, God used things I learned about years ago and things I had just discovered to show why He talks to some and why He doesn’t, and in demonstrative ways.
In His grace, He also showed me how people could hear more from Him. Basic instructions on how to hear more from God and how to be led by Him are included in this book. Thank you for taking time to consider the answers I received and share with you now.

Destroying Curses in the Courts of Heaven
Believers’ Boot Camp, Volume 3
Our rights to appear in the Courts of Heaven have been greatly undervalued. The missing key to our authority is here. Jesus has provided the access and the Bible shows us the court procedures. When we learn to operate in our rightful place as children of the Most High, the enemy will be defeated and we will see the victory we have prayed for.
The death of Jesus freed us from the curse of the law. However, we must declare this freedom just as we must make a declaration for our salvation.
