Attacks that Come After the Courts of Heaven?

 What is Backlash
“Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15 AMP)
Our Lord paid the price for us to be free. However, we must learn His ways to appropriate all that He has done. If you have not yet studied the Word of God concerning the Courts of Heaven, you can find the free book (very short) “Destroying Curses in the Courts of Heaven” at most ebook distributors, including Amazon, Nook, and iTunes.

It was surprising to discover that backlash, attacks upon our health or emotions, could come after removing charges in the Courts. There are many reasons that may occur. I am aware of some, and I am sure there are more:
  1. Abuse of Authority
  2. Miss-Applying the Charges
  3. Failure to Confess
  4. Ignoring Court Procedures
  5. Jezebel
Many people experience instant relief during or shortly after their visits to the Courts of Heaven. Unfortunately, others experience backlash or even a relapse of their symptoms after visiting the Courts. Let’s take a closer look at some of the causes.

Abuse of Authority

When we first began taking people to the courts, many of the team members helping others began experiencing backlash; emotional attacks and sickness.Unauthorized authority is a form of abuse of our authority. I have already written about that in a post, CLICK HERE to read it. A couple of months after I started the Courts of Heaven - Worldwide group on Facebook, I went before the Judge and got the charge of “abuse of authority” for myself. A few weeks later God miraculously revealed that we were stepping outside our authority when we declare or decree things in or outside the Courts which the enemy has been given access to because of charges against us. (Read that story here) This can be:
  • healing
  • financial restitution
  • trying to break a curse attached to charges
You don’t even have to be the one declaring these things. Charges of abuse of authority can also come against you for agreeing with a petitioner or a prayer. Think of it this way: If you are driving a car and your passenger robs the gas station where you stop, you are an accomplice to the crime. It is the same with prayer. If you come into agreement, then you are guilty.

When you are leading the prayers, then you are responsible for what is said. If you are a seer, your consequences may be less, but you have also joined in the appropriate action. We must learn to follow the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit. He will let us know when it is time to make declarations of freedom.

Think of it this way: The Courts of Heaven are the highest place of authority. Jesus gave us His name to use and His blood pays the price, but when we use these things without being guided by the Holy Spirit we are in rebellion against God's authority, the authority of the Courts of Heaven, trying to get around them with the name and the blood of Jesus.
"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." (Romans 8:14 AKJV)
If we are not being led then we are jumping out in front of the Holy Spirit. When we are new, baby Christians this will often work. However, God expects us to learn His ways and grow past the stage of using the name and blood at anything and everything.

Misapplying the Charges

The words you receive in the Courts can often mean many different things. There are so many things in our lives that it can be hard to pinpoint what the groups of words are referring to. When looking at my own charges, I haven’t always gotten it right.

When we don't know what the charges mean, we are confessing to the wrong thing and the charges will remain. Even if we hear "overruled for some of the charges, there may still be some that reamian. If symptoms come up or fail to clear up after a visit to remove charges in the courts, I begin to look at the words again and ask the Holy Spirit about where we missed it.

It can help if you talk this out with someone. Go over what you think the words could possibly mean. Sometimes the questions the other person asks will prod you in the right direction.

Failure to Confess

This is a bit different than misapplying the charges. The word “confess” means much more than admitting that you did wrong. The Greek word homologeĊ, translated “confess” has a specific definition: to come into complete agreement and see it the way God does, declaring what we know.

When you are trying to remove the charges, your feelings will be transparent to the entire assembly in the Courtroom. The charges against you are sins you have committed. If you don’t really feel that what you did was all that wrong, if you feel like you were justified in your actions because of what had happened to you, then you are not truly confessing. You are making excuses for your bad behavior, for your sin.

  • There are no reason, no excuses for your behavior when you are in the Courts.
To confess your sin you must know that you made the decision to commit the act which was against God’s ways and you are sorry for it. Excuses may make the application of the blood of Jesus invalid as you are trying to justify this action yourself. We always have a choice. No one can make us sin. In order for the blood of Jesus to cover it, we must first own it and admit that it needs to be covered.

Ignoring Court Procedures

Once you appear in the Courts of Heaven, you are making it known that you are aware of two things:
  • The Courts of Heaven are highest place of authority
  • The enemy may have legal rights obtained by placing charges upon us
After clearing charges in the Courts of Heaven, you cannot go back to binding and rebuking without waiting for the Holy Spirit to let you know that the enemy is acting outside their authority. This is relying on a “formula” created by man instead of the Holy Spirit. He knows what is happening in the Courts of Heaven and will tell you with great strength if you are to bind, rebuke, or declare healing. If you don’t get a strong leading and proceed according to the way you have always done things, then you risk having charges placed on you in Heaven. “Listen carefully, I will throw her on a bed of sickness, and those who commit adultery with her [I will bring] into great anguish, unless they repent of her deeds…” (Revelation 2:22 AMP)
If you are suffering with pain or sickness that isn’t solved by repeated trips to the Courts of Heaven, you may have allowed Jezebel a place in your life. The worst part about this demonic attack is that it is so very hard to spot, especially within ourselves. This is one thing that no one can help you clear from the Courts. You must take care of this by repenting for sins that have given her a place in your life and revoking any access you have given her. (Click Here to read a post about Jezebel), traits to look for, an a prayer to get rid of her)

Keep Going

“For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.” (1 Corinthians 11:31 NKJV)
This verse is in the New Testament, after Jesus left. He came so the grace could be shown, but that doesn't mean that God is not Judge. We still have an adversary:
“...for the accuser of our brethren, he who keeps bringing before our God charges against them day and night, has been cast out!” (Revelation 12:10)
Satan isn’t upon this Earth yet, so right now he is in Heaven bringing charges against us day and night. We need to continually check ourselves against the Word of God. Are we walking according to God’s ways? The Courts of Heaven isn’t a one time thing and it’s over. This is a way of life. It enables us to see if we have fallen short somewhere. When bad things happen suddenly, checking in with the Courts is a great idea.

Destroying Curses
in the Courts of Heaven

Many people think of boot camp as a place you train for combat. Any veteran will tell you that basic training is about three things:
  • Knowing what weapons are available
  • Learning how to use those weapons
  • Receiving orders and following them
Believer’s Boot Camp series is a collection of books which teach us how to hear more clearly from God with the goal to ready ourselves for a face-to-face meeting with our Lord, Jesus. The series reveals the “weapons and tools” God has given us and how to use them, so we can bring God’s kingdom to Earth. Each book in the series focuses on a single topic to clearly define one tool or weapon from our Heavenly Father.

The series uses the Word of God to reveal all that He has given us through Jesus. The Bible is our instruction manual and the Holy Spirit is our guide to understanding it.

Volume 1: Why Doesn't God Speak to Me?

Eager hearts cry out, hoping for a single word to confirm that He hears us. Yet, many times the only sound is silence. Over the years I have heard several reasons why God speaks to some and not to others. One night, as I tossed and turned, I brought each of these reasons before the Lord, stating why each of them did not line up with who I thought He was.

Words rose from my soul, pleading for Him to reveal why He has remained silent when a single word from Him would mean so much to so many. For the next few hours, God used things I learned about years ago and things I had just discovered to show why He talks to some and why He doesn’t, and in demonstrative ways.

In His grace, He also showed me how people could hear more from Him. Basic instructions on how to hear more from God and how to be led by Him are included in this book. Thank you for taking time to consider the answers I received and share with you now.

Keys to Authority for Every Believer

There is untapped power that is easy for every Christian to access in the form of authority. The keys to this authority will unlock weapons we can use to free ourselves from the attacks of the enemy. We must be intimately aware of the bounds and limitations of our weapon if they are to be used effectively.

Find out about your authority:
  • Why you need it.
  • Where it comes from.
  • What you can do with it.
  • How to get more.
